I am wondering if there is a way to identify other players when playing MP. As it is now, unless I am missing something, someone has to be killed before I can figure out who they are/were. Is there a way to see/know who another player is while he is on screen?
hmm sorry no the only ppl u can see the names of is only on ur team

But I am not seeing even that. The only thing I see is the "star" to identify an allied player - no names. Is there a multiplayer setting that I can change?
Is your HUD display off? I'm trying it with mine off, and i think you can't see their names with it off.

To the best of my knowledge, my HUD is "ON". Where would I see the name of the player?
You might be visually impared. I can tell who each person is, Nazi from a American and a Brit from a Russian (Even though Brits never kill Russians). You just have to get used to the skins that CoD uses. I felt the same way when I started CS, couldnt tell a Terrorist from a Counter-Terrorist.
I have the same problem. When i got the new patch i am not able to see anyone on my teams name just the star, any advice as of how to fix this? and my hud is on.
Last night I unistalled COD and then re-installed. Guess what - my team's names show up now in green. They did not do so before. The only thing I can figure out is that there is a configuration setting that affects this, and that re-installing set it back to the default setting. Just a guess.
