Well I've been playing with the new patch 1.3 for a few weeks now. All I can say is this: PUNK BUSTER when is it due out?? Wall hacks now more than ever. (I watched on the kill cam. they couldnt see me, then they stopped for a few seconds, no movement of the mouse, then they moved towards me and shot me. Happened a few times) Bad aiming. (I'm pointing my gun towards north, they come around the corner pointing their gun towards west. I shoot, but they kill me. Played back in kill cam, they were pointing their gun towards south, in other words towards me, I had no chance.) New aimbots have been released that have the wall hacks, key swiching on and off, automatically shooting, predicting aimbot, teamcheak bots (shoots at the opposing team), third person hack, burst shooting on any gun. PLEASE when are these problems going to be fixed?? But mainly when is this Punk buster coming out???? Its been WELL over a week now, and no sign. :notworking: :beamme:

Kevinber, I would suggest doing the installtion trick: Uninstall the CoD altogether, then when thats finish, reinstall CoD but instead of installing v1.2, go straight to install v1.3, then try the game. A lot of people had the same trouble, and that installation fixed the problem. I'm on of the few who didnt have that problem. :)

1.After you uninstall make sure you delete the COD file or rename it! 2.Then try to install it clean. 3.This part has mixed answers from our clans point of view. Some members found it better to install 1.2 first then 1.3 others had better results with just 1.3 after a clean install. 4. Don't use the same old config. file! 5.for some the 1.3 gave them OS trouble which was about equal between WINDOWS ME, XP(home), XP(pro). We never did pin point the problem, but f'ing with settings and video drives seemed to help out everyone. Funny part is one Driver would help one member, but not the next. I do know that the troubles were all on FX5800 and lower cards and 9600 and lower cards. The best proformance and trouble free install came from those of us running AMD3000+XP and up along with the 512mb WildCat video cards. This is not to say that the others all have problems. With any PC hardware it comes down to cheap parts and high quality parts and a bit of luck. We've see gamers with (what we call wood) getting super high frame rates with everything maxed out (one comes to mind with a GF4-4800 overclocked well passed it's danger limit, but it's smooth as silk) then seen gamers with Monster machines having trouble endlessly. I tend to like cards that can be tweaked almost anyway I want (you set your com_maxfps and it stays there solid). This can help a great deal. Example: Many get rid of the sky and sun flares, but with the right card that sun or a street lamp etc. can shine a glint of light on a enemy helmet or weapon hell even a shinny boot and this can give you just the edge you need. Trouble is to get this great quality and max fps it costs big $$$ and I'm not talking about what I would call a mid range card like FX5950u or 9800proxltabcdefg (I made up the rest of the letters for those who want to ask...lol). Also take into account that other activities and installs(uninstalls), Web surfing to if'y sites can hurt the PC also....even the hardware and sometimes memory just has had enough closed in that little mid-tower and gets a leak (which is when ram doesn't release the old info stored to make a short answer for a leak) You could go to 300 sites and forums and get just as many answers. We've had people fix lag and lost connections just by clicking off the "power saving option" on their LAN card. So don't give up. Try one thing at a time...if it doesn't help put it back the way it was and try the next....you should get to the bottom of it in time. I tend to shut down all auto-updates for all software and try to prevent spying by any software on my PC's. If I start a program and see my router or modem lights flicker I kill the program until I find out what it was doing internet wise. You'd be surprised at amount of crap that can be going on behind the scenes without you knowing. Those cool toolbar items, reminders , programs to find you clanmates, etc. might seem great, but when every Frame counts in a Call Of Duty fire fight it's better to have only what you need running. It could give you the edge while gaming and by the numbers of cheaters online you need an edge to shut them down and send them back to the Cheatsites for something else! Being called a cheater by a newb cheater is the greatest honor in gaming I swear! Damn I need my own forum for these long azz posts....What a blabber mouth!:nodding:
