I think the PPsh was overpowered in the original. But UO really, really nerfed it, deservedly so. It is much more innaccurate and the projectiles seem more like pistol shot than true bullets.

Well in CODUO they reduced the PPSH's stats to make it fair. it is still a noob gun cos of the amount of ammo. but in coduo the new maps r big and tactics like using a rifle or a portable mg are needed. the noobs are being stamped out destroy them all!!!!!!.:lol:

Well I skipped about 10 pages of this thread trying to keep my sanity so if I repeat what someone else said, TOO BAD! I will say that the gun has its place. CQC. What I haven't seen anyone talk about is after some peeps with the SPEW TUBES go thru about 200+ rounds is that the barrel would get very hot and create quite a bit of lead trapped in the tube. This is just bad for accuracy. But hey this is just a game supposed to be fun not a super technical simulator. I hate to say it, but you will be stuck with the SPEWERS. Try a cool server that limits the weps avail. U might enjoy it more and the newer players will have to learn to shoot with something else.

See why I played DoD so long?...... In Dod, all weapons had plenty of recoil. you had to LEARN to manage them, use burst fire. not cod. nooooo, now you can be a super-human soldier, running around with your thompson or ppsh, with little or no recoil, hose everyone down...:moon: ever notice how with an mp-40, it jumps WAY more than either american or ruskie gun? yet, you can unload on an american, and have him returning fire, and even if he has to reload in the middle of while your STILL firing at hum, his first 3 rounds after reload will kill you......... I say go to the old dod class system, limit the number of snipers, smg's, and mg's. also make it so each team has one arty guy, thus better artillery distribution, so that a 20 person server doesnt turn into one big artyfest...... I am actively wanting to: 1, give controled class system, to balance weapon #'s 2, make a new ppsh model with the stick/box type magazine, ie more on par with the other smgs, 3) increase recoil on everything, smgs, rifles, everything!!!! bah!!!! and have forced no-white crosshairs. stamp out the n00b-hosers off of soapbox............:uhoh:

Many mods/servers already do that, Heat of Battle for instance.

Oh yes, HoB. Also theres a few others, like VS-UK total war (one of my favorites; it adds medics and some other spiffy deals).

It doesn't have much of a range though, plus that's for UO, not CoD as far as I am aware.

Besides, all weapons are killors. ;)
