Crysis is NOT coming to any consoles...BUT the CryEngine 2 is being used to develop console games.

There were rumours of it appearing on the 360, but its highly unlikely, and if it did, it wouldn't look half as good as it does on the PC.

Rumors don't do anyone any good, esp developers. Regardless, by the time games are released on consoles using CryEngine 2, they'll most likely be far better than Crysis. You strip away the graphics, Crysis is mediocre at best.

Crytek: Next Gen Consoles Are Too Weak for Crysis - Xbox

Not enough power obviously, if they decide to release a version for the 360 or ps3 the view won't be as good, but you never know...

Kind of confused...

Far Cry 2's Dubia engine has already been stated that it is more powerful than the CryEngine2 (It was partially modelled off it) and that Far Cry 2 will run mighty well on these latest consoles.

I'm assuming it could possibly work, but the amount of work involved would be enormous, if not unforgiving in recoding and optimising it for console hardware.

Exagerate much? "partially modelled off it" more like, bearly even :p only 10% of the original engine is in Dubia, if that. But nah, no console can handle CryEngine2, and that compared to Dubia, is pathetic, so NO console at its current state could handle Dubia or games running off it. Btw, for those that care, FarCry2 is plain ugly! From the release movies I've seen, it's rubbish, "wind" pft, all the grass moves in the same direction, VERY basic animation, hell, the Weesal's engine is better Plus all the buildings look like some 3 year old's clay town, it certainly doesn't turn me on.

The PS3 could probably run FarCry 2 well, but not the X360 [not in it's original PC glory, I mean]. FarCry 2, from all the videos and articles I've read and seen, isn't trying to be Crysis 2 in terms of graphics, which is good in my opinion. Crysis is all graphics, nothing else.
