damn i have a hp pavilion 3.7+ nvidia 8800 gts 2gb ram and vista im almost not able to play it.
n88tr;4001261Yeah, I was gonna ask if Filefront is going to create a new portal for Crysis? I see there is just a new section and header tags for FarCry 2 on the Farcry.Filefront site but are we going to have a Crysis.Filefront.com?
Yes, The FileFront Network will be launching a Crysis network, which will be seperate from FarCryFiles, once this is done, the Crysis content will most likly be moved to it's new home. The launch has been delayed as Pro-Filer has been sick over the weekend (and I assume leading up to the weekend)
yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhuuuuuuuuuuu, come on guys, im not a noob here, just answer the question please!
I have just completed the demo and it does live up to is promise it far outclasses far cry in every way can't wait to buy the whole thing now! Runs fairly smooth on my rig too left the settings on medium but i am going to see just how far i can push it! :D Well worth the download! But only if you have got a fast connection! :nodding:
i d'led it frrom nVidia, but when i try to run the installer, my comp freezes, and i have to restart it, ill see how it works afrer i put another gig of ram in it, i only have 512mb right now :( o, sovereign, wat question should we be answering?
I'm assuming he means this question:
Sov001small question, the games plays smooth but the sound isnt, they are all speaking with gaps in it, but the game etc runs just normal smooth... any idea's?
Make sure your sound drivers are uptodate...
Who_Flung_Poo?;4001370Head shots are definitely a must as it can take a few shots to the body to bring them down, costing you precious time as you get shot by his buddies. I ran it pretty smooth with all settings on High, 1920x1080 and with 4x AA.
Although I did completely crash my computer 2 times and noticed a few graphical glitches such as shadows stretching forever across the screen in some areas and 1 tree that I shot the hell out of but it never fell, just had a completely decimated core.
What are you system specs?
Brusher;4001402Finally got it downloaded and installed. Tried it on XP and 64bit Vista. Vista 64 locks up before the first intro, and XP locks up while skydiving at the beginning. Wow. Tried several times.
intel 6600 core duo 8800 GTX (768) 2 gigs All latest drivers, etc., etc. :uhm:
Try the special drivers Nvidia released for the Crysis demo, the have a lot of fixes.Brusher;4001638Finally got it working. Used the 32bit version in Vista 64 bit instead of the 64 bit version and it worked great. I can't imagine the gfx looking better in 64 bit but if they do then they will be something to behold because they already look awesome. So far, Crysis is everything it was built up to be. Simply outstanding! Crytek has raised the bar for video games by a whole lot. Crysis is simply in a class of its own. Nov. 16th can't get here soon enough.
In the Readme after the install it actually says the x32 bit Windows XP isn't officially supported.

See my post about the special drivers above. ^^
Just tried downloading it but gave up after it was telling me it had 15 hours to go! And i have up to 10 meg broadband! All the servers are pretty much full! I'm gonna wait until they have calmed down a bit but it sure looks awesome i cant wait to play it! =p
I have it burned to a DVD...I could mail it to you...lol.
n88tr;4006188What are you system specs?
Core 2 Duo 6700 @ 2.66GHz 2Gb of RAM NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX SB X-Fi Audio
Right now my CPU is my biggest choke point.
Who_Flung_Poo?;4006214 Right now my CPU is my biggest choke point.
have you OC'd it yet?
I'd say that proc is still quite good for your system.
Keep in mind Crysis was designed for future hardware [9000 series Nvidia for one] that will really make the game shine. Dual 8800 GTXs and an X or Q series Intel proc is a great system spec, especially when paired with 3 gigs of DDR2, but you won't be hitting the Ultra setting with that setup at this particular time in history.]
