I've been searching (without any luck) to try and find any benchmarks to show if there is any reasonable increase to FPS with the 8800 GTX vs. it in a sli configuration. I've thought about doing this, but don't want to spend the money if it's only a small gain.

TweakGuides.com - Crysis Tweak Guide I found that website quite helpful, theres alot of pages that talk about graphical settings.

At the current moment, 2 GTXs in SLI will help you out, but it's not a 50% FPS increase. Graphics cards just aren't fully up to snuff to handle Crysis on maxed settings. If you want to run on Medium settings with maxed resolution, an SLI setup like that would get you some very playable FPS rates, but not a Ultra High setup, that'd be lag city.

Here's a useful one.

Crysis Hardware Performance Guide - Features at GameSpot

They test all the way to 2 GTXs in SLI, though the results aren't mindblowing...

Cool, not too much of an improvement, but with some tweaking mixing in some lower settings it might be able to put out a good stable amount.
