Theres a few crits that i wanted to share with everyone about Crysis, so here they are. 1.Shadows sure there good quality, but if you pick up a tiny bit of a tree, like one of the really thing ones, and you look at your shadow and it looks like hes carrying hefty tree. Also, the shadow doesn't move exatcly the same time as you do. If you look closely anyway. 2.Animals I think there should of been alot more animals, and more that attack you. The only ones that attack you are sharks. Theres plenty of places where a croc would hang about. Another thing about sharks, is they attack you instantly, which is not likely. People often swim with sharks and are not harmed, the only time they would attack a human is if they were very desperate, or because you had blood around you. 3.Realism Well, this game is very realstic ( gameplay, and graphically). However, how come you can take 7 bullets at close range and not die because of your nano suit, but a shark can kill you in one bite? 4.AI Dont get me wrong, the AI are good but sometimes there not so good, like you'll be standing in front of them and they run close to you and only start to realise your there after you start shooting. Also the paths, AI follow paths even if there is an obstraction, for example. On the first level ( also the demo level ) theres a bit where a jeep starts driving along the road after you get past a checkpoint. I parked another jeep in the middle of that road, and when the AI jeep comes along they crash into it and try and try and try to get past it, make no attempt of going round it. If anyone would like to add to the list, please do. I'd like to see other peoples crits.

interesting critique. if you notice though with your nanosuit, it can take several shots by a machine gun.(plus does lots o damage melee. i.e. you get killed by one punch from a nanosuit dude.) you live through seven shots by a pistol, a shotgun drains it near to zero, and the gauss/precision rifle only need a few shots to kill you. the ai is only slightly off only encountering a few incidents of moronic ai, hopefully will be fixed with patch 2. however this remains my fave game because of its enhanced modding and mapping capabilities. unfortunately modding may become a little more difficult due to xml file structures and possibly necessary to use the skin modifier for your weapon. (extremely time consuming compared to physique although prefer skin for characters). the map editor also has a few more tools at your disposal but many are difficult to use (time of day) terrain tools slightly less reactive etc. overall a fun game, somewhat linear (though the suit has an opposite effect to that) and not enough "good" weapons. headshots are slightly easier than far cry cuz more weps have scopes and laser sights.

Dont get me wrong, Crysis is an awesome game and its in my top 5 favourite games. Just some bits of it annoy me at times, for example the animals, hopefully there might be some mods that add other animals that attack you. I find the editor useful and easy. I learnt how to use the basics through mere experimentation (e.g. making AI follow paths..etc.).

i find it extremely annoying how theres never enough scar ammo. the weapon is strong, cool looking, and sounds cool but you hardly get to use it.

Well, on the other hand, you can be sure that if they populated the maps with scar ammo, people would complain about it, since the Koreans don't use them.

Fresh out of playing through the entire Call of Duty series I find the wandering and unsteady weapon sighting in Crysis to be very annoying. Makes it feel like luck, and not skill, if you are able to blow your way through an enemy group or place a good head shot with a sniper scope from even a modest distance. Feels very arcade-like. The way the Koreans flit around at inhuman speeds during a firefight is also very annoying. I am also plagued by the constantly disappearing missile launcher. When an enemy copter shows up, I cycle through my weapons to get to the missile launcher I was carrying, only to find it has disappeared. Sometimes, when re-loading a save-game the launcher will re-appear, but usually not. It's possible to bring the choppers down by emptying several rifle loads into it, but by that time you are usually simultaneously assaulted by so many Koreans that bringing down the chopper is moot. You're dead meat. And how about the way the choppers seem to be able to spot you through any and all obstacles. It becomes almost impossible to hide from them. Yes, the graphics are truly stunning, even at medium levels, especially the water effects, but I find the game play to be too arcade-like. I'll probably slog my way through to the end, but after Call of Duty, this one is very disappointing. I guess it just gets hard for an old soldier from the Vic 20 and Commodore 64 era to find titles that seem to reach beyond teen satisfaction.

The health on the nanosuit wearing koreans seems a bit wonky. I shoot 42 pistol rounds in the back of their head and the only response is that they they turn arround and kill me with 2 shots from the same pistol while i was reloading.

This only affects the guys arround the crusher in the quarry level, not the ones in the graveyard or the mine.

I remember one of the first times I ever encountered a nanosuit wearing Korean, I put about 3 rounds from the Gauss rifle into his head and he was still alive, but I think my only major annoyance with the game is how you can't start sprinting if your aiming down the sight. This most likely isn't a developing problem, but after playing Call of Duty 4(where you can be aiming somewhere and then automatically start sprinting without having to lower the weapon yourself), this has been pretty annoying for me.
