I didn't make it!
I know this thread is a little aged but the AI can be really good at times and at times bad. I like the fact they actually come looking for you when your cloaked as someone mentioned before.
A few times I could be slaughtering the soldiers and a nearby soldier would just stand there... I remember one time I killed 5-10 soldiers with the shotgun and threw a grenade up into a guard tower, destroying it, and not more than a few steps away was a soldier on a MG. Not until I got right behind him he noticed me and when he did I just grabbed him and threw him off the cliff. :D
I've also seen many soldiers just stop in there tracks and become unresponsive to a certain degree. I think it has to do something with a 'gotoAndStop' error that pop-ups in the console sometimes.
It's also funny how you can rush up to a soldier and he'll take about 2-3 seconds to react or even sometimes just turns around and runs, making an easy kill.:dpistols: I have the full game btw.
I will say that personally the AI was annoying at best, never threatening until I ran up against the hurricane-toting asians and later the aliens. Most times you can just run past the AI and not even bother with them.
Only difference for the AI in Crysis that I really noticed is that on Delta they get Master Chief armor and they can get head shots while running with the minigun from across the map.
Yes the AI is stupid, only if you really stop to give a rats ass.
ppl say that the ai is amazing like they will look for cover and throw grenades but thats standards for all modern games. although i like how they blind fire and notice dead bodies. i also find that sometimes the alien warriors you know the small ones. when you first see them and sneak up on them. you can see that they just hop up and down on rocks and i find that stupid.
It's what aliens "do". Remember, they aren't human ;) But meh, great AI none the less.
It's hit or miss, it really does depend on how much time was spent testing the AI in the level, giving them plenty of cover, aggression levels, calling in for re-enforcements, etc. I personally didn't find the AI challenging on Hard, it just that they were faster on the draw and sometimes came in greater numbers when the re-enforcements were called.
