As many of you may know, Crysis is a hit so far :3 Well i thought it would be neat to think of mods people could make once they release the source engine. One idea i thought would be real fun was: Predator Mod - With the cloak ability already at hand there isn't much modding to be had, and with the ability to grab people that just adds to the overall feel of it, just imagine your walking around and out of nowhere your grabbed invisibly and he holds you there for a second or two and than decloaks, only to smash his wristblade into your head... epic... The basic gameplay would be 5 - 6 koreans, mercenaries, US solders, whatever, are out in the jungle in search of rebels, kind of like in the actual movie. Now the player can choose his beggining weapons, each weapon having an advantage over the other yet still havign some type of disadvantage, the people have the normal human models with no special powers whatsoever. The predator has all the powers and there infinite but they are only half as strong as in teh SP, except for cloaking, which lasts twice as long as normal cloaking but it's less as strong in terms of visibility. The predator can also stick to trees for up to 15, maybe 20 seconds. The main object of the normal game is to try to make it to the rebel camp, kill all the rebels (which will also fire at the predator so this encourages the player when the predator, to wait till the soldiers are done witht eh rebels) and than to call in a Vtol/chopper. For survivor you basicaly have to make it to the waypoint before the predator kills you all. Predator advantages: -Heat Vision -Night Vision -Energy vision (detects any electronics being use'd by the player) -all the powers are permanent -can stick to trees -can stay cloaked twice as long as normal -Has 150 health instead of the normal 150 -All the powers are instantly built in, meaning the only power you can turn on or off is cloaking -Smoke grenades don't blind the predators visiblity -When dead, the predator's body acts as a frag grenade with twice the range and twice the damage (a good way to weed out the noobies and to prevent humiliating taunts to the dead body) -Heals Predator Disadvantages: -Can be blinded by Flares (if put into the game -All the powers are half of there normal strength except for cloaking -Cloaking can be deactivated through a flashbang -Very limited ammo for long range weaponry, such as speargun = 5 rounds net gun = 2 rounds (instant kill for each net) Shoulder cannon = infinite but weaker than a normal pistol and thers a 3 second delay for each shot and the shot is somewhat slow -When swimming, cloaking is deactivated Mercs/soldiers Advantages: -Players can use flares to temporarily blind the predator if he's within range, regardless of if he's hiding behind something -Flares signal a back up AI helicopter for 30 seconds to shoot at the predator (since helicopters have thermal imaging) -Flashbangs turn off the predators cloaking for 5 seconds -There are 3 different classes. Medic = has med packs for healing wounded soldiers/mercs squad leader = has the only flare gun and has 2 flares and can use a radio to drop in more people (respawn) if they are at a supply dump (basicaly a check point for spawns, only the squad leader can use the radio to order in more troops but anyone can use the radio to complete the mission at the end of the map Soldier = the only class carrying 2 of each type of grenade -Can choose from an arsenal of over 6 different automatics (SMG SCAR, Minigun, and AK from the SP game, and 2 extra customly made weapons perhaps) and 2 pistols -Thermal goggles -On-the-go customization is still available for the player -Each weapon *besides the minigun* starts out with 200 extra rounds Mercs/Soldiers Disadvantages: -Slow compared to the predator -shield deosn't regenerate (which is why there are checkpoints, for the player to heal there sheild and health, although medics if they are still alive can repair shields aswell as health) -Thermal goggles have a non rechargeable battery that lasts as long as 30 seconds -Only one person may choose to use the minigun per round -Flares blind player aswell but only for 1-2 seconds based on distance -only one checkpoint per map -Classes are randomly generated and only 1 person can be a medic and only one person can be a squad leader AND THERE IS NO FRIENDLY FIRING, mainly because the person who chose the minigun will most likely be slaughtered by his teammates who want it :P The choice to implement vehicles is anyones really, i mean i think that it would be harder on the predator, going across huge amounts of land to get to the humans which will probably win the round very quickly.

Renegade mod or preferable a game based on renegade for the cry engine 2.

I've read about the Dead Six mod that in plan for Crysis, which is based on Renegade. That looks cool to me.

I'd like to see a weapons mod, some AI tweaking, and a little bit of rebalancing.
