Sometimes I will see these huge black squares seemingly depending on what direction I look at stuff in the game. I noticed a similar problem while playing a Oblivion too a few days ago. Screenshot: http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/8281/glitchcf7.jpg

Hmm, I can't seem to be able to install those, 169.04 or 169.09. It just says that it won't install as it's not better then what I have now. And I install them fresh, after uninstalling the previous driver. Any ideas? (I'm using a modded INF though so it will support mobile cards)

It's not a driver issue.

That looks like genuine over-heating. Crysis ofcourse is going to make your video card perform at its maximum speed (no pun intended) so its bound to heat up alot more.

I had similar problems earlier today after playing it for a few hours... I think it was related to my video card overheating. I checked the temperature with nTune and it was bloomin hot.

I think you guys are right about it overheating. After a few hours of playing the game, there will be this funny smell coming from the computer, like that of smoke from an electrical fire. I shut it down and popped the cover to see which component was getting too hot, and I determined it was coming from either the video card or the power supply. Also, I only seem to notice this visual anomaly after a few hours of playing, and it tends to coincide with that weird smell. I find this unsettling, since this was some very expensive hardware, and I'm not even overclocking it.

If your smelling smoke thats BAD. Your videocard is obviesly frying up. Try.. -Putting the case in a more open air-efficent area -Play with the case open -Find aftermarket cooling (ZALMAN)

Smells are usually your first and last sign of major trouble. What kind of case are you using and what is your power supply, please?
