first of all, i would like to say i am a newb haha okay, here's my problem: for the past week, whenever i try to play counter-strike: source, not less than 2 minutes of playing time, my computer freezes and i have to manually restart my computer, this has only been happening for a week, i dont think its a hardware error, well, my stats are below, i would really appreciate it if anyone at all could help me out, because im in the process of building a server box specifically for this game. thanks.
here are my stats:
ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard ATI Radeon 9200 video card Seagate Barracuda 160 GB hard drive Intel Pentium 4 processor 3.2Ghz PNY 512 mb ram Windows XP Pro SP2
Check your computer temperatures. Are they high? If they are like 60+ Celsius constant while you run the game you need to cool it down some way, which could be the cause of the problem. If it isn't heat it's probably a hardware error really. Try running a benchmark program like 3DMark05 or any of its older versions and see how the results are at the end of the test.
