I got this message over steam from this account
email@example.com saying that i needed to send my name and password to them, i have never gotten a message like this before, ever. I think it is some jerk off trying to get my password, if anyone could help clear this up some more i would appreciate it.
I don't want to bump this. But A) Valve and Steam will never ask you for your account name and password. B) That's not even a real valve email. So I think it's someone trying to steal your account.
As said above me that is some jerk off trying to steal your account. My poor friend had his hacked stolen by something like that. =(
I've had my run-ins like that too.
SIeam Account Help says: Hi steam has been informed that your account has be stole. For us to retive your account we will need your account name and password thank you for your time sorry for this problem.
The Anti-Hero says: ok
The Anti-Hero says: my account is "Nice try" and my password is "Go screw yourself"
Pink Unicorns...think about it

Yup got the same kinda message just yesterday from a "Robert"
"Hi, would you be interested in playtesting Counter Strike Beta?"
Me (Thinking what kinda idiot is he? I have Source, and Valve has no plans to change Counter-Strike at all.): "...Hm?"
"Rob": Well if you're interested we would like to know your screenname and password so we can patch it into you Steam account.
Me: No thanks. (****ER!)
I mean really, we need a way to get back at these guys, they appear every now and then, it's really pissing me off!
