Hello,

Me and some friends wanted to make a funserver to play in so I decided to launch it on my laptop near my pc. But unfortunately you can only run steam once. So is there any way I can run a server on a different pc than i'm playing the game? Much appreciated :) A thing I always hated about steam was that I was never able to play with a friend who used the pc next to me (steam should make something that applications per ip are unlimited as this is fair enough).

Many thanks

I have no clue though, I've never figured out how to run it on two pc's.

No way, unless you had an ecafe setup or something, but no individual account can be played on both computers.

Thanks for the reply. Hmmm thats a pitty in that case cause running a source server on the same pc where you play at lags a bit for me. Probably going to mail steam soon and ask why they did it :P

Thanks ;) and yes, I have CS:Source too :naughty: I don't really like the system of "online at one pc at the time" either, but well.. Nothing we can do about it lol.
