Hey there ppl i've been wondering if the eldar are getting crap i mean the first version they were okay. Winter assault they get the fire dragons which is not that great for they will get wiped out against infantry especially in a range battle where their range is so close. now in DC they get the harlequin which just plain old sucks in my opinion. i mean it only last for like 10 seconds and even if its hidden within an army they still get killed as soon as they jump into the other army. Does anyone agree with me?:deal::confused:

well, yeah the harlequin is kind of weak but I don't care about eldar. I only play Tau, SM and sometimes IG. I played eldar and didn't liked them at all. They have crappy units in early tiers and if you get rushed then it's all over. Tau are much better and even if they seem weak at first, they have and answer for everything and that's why I think they rock!Tau all they way!

While I agree with you about the Tau, I believie that the Eldar are not weak. Most of the people don't know how to play with them, just as there some unenlightened people who do not know how to play with the Tau and then say thy suck. It's the exact same thing!

I doubt eldar are considered weak, just some people don't know how to play/use them right. I bet 3 fully-up'd warp spider squads can beat almost all of tau infantry with some micro... :uhm: On a side note, even though my name is eldarkings, I hate eldar and their pointy-headed hippiness. (Don't ask why, just liked them at the time during DoW vanilla.)

I think harliquns die a bit easy can be handy at start in some situations but they should have some sort of defence bonus that would help. The majority of people cant use the eldar my fav race since winter assault they have so many attacking abilitys and if used right it can be easy to kill any race. Also everyones different play what u feel comfortable with theres great players of all races some really fast players on auto.I like all races but for example i dont like the feel with tau as much as eldar im quicker with eldar even though tau has really good fire power i find eldar more easyer to maneuver around on maps eldar have so much attacking ability its just fun mixing it all up.:)

I agree with everyone else in the fact that the harlequin dies far to easy, they should really be made into a squad instead of just a single unit. Fire Dragons were a great blessing to the eldar, they provided a huge increase in tactical prowess, because up to that point only BL platforms could do serious damage to vehicles early on. I don't think the eldar are getting weaker, there just getting more tactical. Th eldar, IG and to a lower extent the tau are tactically fun races. Even though i almost never play as the tau, there just to shooty for my liking. :)

Eldar are designed actually to catch the enemy unguarded, .eg rushes, unexpected unit types.. This game has a lot of brute strength involved, and a lot of people are used to that same principle and apply it with Eldar, when actually the Eldar doesn't really work that way

Eldar are an amazing race in DC if you know how to use them correctly. They are a tricky race to master but once you do they are pretty unstoppable. Each Eldar unit is a specialist unit so it will only excel at one thing i.e bansees are only good in hand to hand. So only use them for hand to hand. The Hartlequin might die to quickly under lots of fire but it is still an excellent unit. With the Dance of Death nearby units can't shoot it because of the knockdown. It's other ability is also fantastic. You can kill a whole maxed out squad of IG with it! It's great. They are a tricky race to use but they are one of the most versatile. Eldar are all about hit and run tactics and feints and distractions. Not just wade in and use force to eliminate your enemy.

Use your units for what they are good at, Eldar are not as versatile as the other races. Use webways. Use Fleet of Foot. Distract the enemy army with Banshees and Reapers and the send in Fire Dragons to damage the base. Your enemy will either have to fall back to defend his base or advance to the enemies.
