Similar to the currently active DC tournament, but with fluff: the outcomes of certain battles will determine the map of the next battle, who plays, with what race, etc... and teams will have to be "politically correct," i.e. no Orks playing alongside Space Marines.
First we need to get some players together, and then we need to set up a win/lose tree. The idea is that there is some fluff involved. We can even write a short story afterwards (with Anglicized characters, of course.)
I like the idea of this. So, will you have to conquere areas as you do in the campaign and then move onto a different planet. Will there be specific goals? At the moment I'm running a tournie of my own, as I think you know ;), but i'll be interested in something like this afterwards.
This sounds like a really good idea...
I didn't make it!
Sounds great i love getting involved in stuff like this I'll help you out if you need anything. Keep in touch
So I reckon that it will be like the campaign on DC. I have some questions: Will you be limited to one race? Will you gradually get Hero status as you win battles, gain territories etc? Will you be able to form alliances, say IG and SM, IG and Chaos etc? If this goes ahead I know what army I am going to be and who my Captain is. Brother Ezekiel Kain of the Templars Truth Chapter
Great idea there, i'll join up when the other tournie ends so more people are involved...
I'm seriously considering running a ladder or a doubles torunament for Dc so keep an eye out.
Btw...Ezekiel is 1/. a bible character and 2/. The dark angels chief librarian, sorry had to shoot your baloon down
Dude in a box;3540698Btw...Ezekiel is 1/. a bible character and 2/. The dark angels chief librarian, sorry had to shoot your baloon down
And your point Being? I'm sure that in the vastness of the 40k universe there is more than 1 person who shares a name with someone else. Ezekiel is a cool sounding name. I got it from the bible and the lead character in an old programme called 'brimstone'. and I know about the DA guy to. I chose the name cos it's cool, i'm not going to cool my chapter master 'Bob Davids' because it doesn't have a cool ring to it
anyways, yes there will be specific goals. Example: When a Space Marine strike force is waiting for extraction, it will have to gain control of 2/3 of the critical locations on a map, and then hold them (There might be special conditions as well, like there will be four times the regular amount of Orks but they can only build Boyz or Nobs- no Commanders or tanks.)
How will do this in game? are you creating the senarios?
We're not creating scenarios. What will probably happen is I will post the limits of each match concerning the players involved here beforehand, like "may not build ___" or "may not do anything for 5 minutes, but cannot be attacked"
