Ok, now the good people over on the relic forums have come up with a way to get the old mods from WA to run on DC.
Note that this is a hack not a true fix. As there is currently no fix till relic releases some kind of work around. Also the resource is bugged so sometime it runs like the necrons resource. Krass, Thudmeizer and the rest are trying to find a way around it. Also note that your mods still will not show up on game manager, (not sure why) and the mod (again not sure on the game) will not run multiplayer.
Again, this is a hack so it requires messing with some of the main DOW files.
---what to do---
Do this at your own risk.
Edit: Wasn't sure whether to place this thread in the Dark Crusade forums or the Modding forums.
Maybe people will just release new versions of their mods just for DC once they get the game.
Well, Corsix has made a program that gets the game manager for Dark Crusade to work. This is more for the people who do not want to edit their core DC files but still want to get their custom mods to work for DC. http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=119590 Only files that need to be edited, if any, are your custom mod's module files. Found it way easier then spending 2 hours trying to figure out what to edit in the DC files. Also, Corsix's program is safer too. Enjoy! Edit: Well, today is a good day. For Buggo manage to get the DC .lua files available to the public. So in other words people who have been working on those huge mods can now get back to working on them and take advantage of what DC has to offer them. But of course with good news, there is always some bad news. The next big patch for DC will not be available for another couple of months. So the game manager will still be broke for a while without Corsix's game manager fix. Well without further delays.... .lua file link----http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=119850 Tutorial on how to get DC's .luas within DC link---http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=119889 All thanks go out to Buggo for getting them files and ShinGouki for the tutorial.:bows: Enjoy!
