Ok, basically i was bored and I thought up an idea for a completly new and unique army. They are called the 'Forgotten' and they are the oldest race in the history of Warhammer. They are spirits who were rejected from their old bodies, and they seek vengance on all races, especially the eldar as it was them that banished them from their bodies. They are a close-combat based army but infantry move slow. Their basic infantry units are Blades. They are close-combat units that can jump/teleport (later on they upgrade and can morph into the relic unit) and are good against infantry and heavy infantry. Thir builder is the caller, who calls the spirit buildings from the particles in the air. They have no attack power, but are infiltrated. The main vehicle is the Hegdehog. This is a long-range vehicle that shoots knives and other sharp objects from holes in its hull. It has very little armour, which is where the skinners come in. They are tanks that have mechanicle arms attached to them instead of gun and are good against all units. The commander is the valkyrie. She exels at close combat but her ranged is weak. She can take conrol of other infantry units, no matter what side they're on, and gain they're powers. However, when that unit dies, the valkyrie dies. The valkirie is a deamon. The forgotten have no turrets and cannot build listening posts. This is because they can have 2 relic units at onece, but they can't get too close to each other otherwise they both die. The relic units are called 'faders'. They are deamons and have no weapons. They can fly over terrain and hav an ability which takes 2 minutes to charges up. The fader sacrifices half its health to exterminate all units around it, whatever type it is (this doesnt work on relic units). Their transport is called the summoner. It send units to another dimension and summons them again when they are told to 'disembark'. It has not weapons, but is well armoured. I'll update this as soon as I create the rest of the army. Please tell me if this is good =p

Okay, buiding time. The HQ is called called the 'Pit' where they were seperated from their bodies (you can only have one). The Power generater is a Spiritual Absorber, which gathers power (upgrades same as other armies). They can't build listening posts, so they dont use requisition. Instead, they use 'Splinter Energy' which is gather by building a seperation chamber. Basically this acts as requisition. The barracks is the bone tower. this is a building made of bones and produces all of the infantry units, apart from blades which come from the pit along with callers. Vehicles are built in the Assembly. The reasarch building is the Focus. This is a large tower that allows the forgotten to communicate. The Valkyrie and the Memories are created in the Ark. The last building left to build is called the core. This is the last building you will be able to build. It creates a unit that takes up bothsquad cap and vehicle cap. This is the Splinter. It is half spirit, but has fused itself with a machine to create what the imperium of man call 'The Machine Spirit'. This was where man got the machine spirit idea from. It is good at close-range and long-range combat. It has no health, so one hit and it would die, but it has an ability to move faster than anyone could see, so nothing can shoot it. This only last a short time though. When it dies, the unit that killed it is changed into the splinter, and this effect carries on until it is killed by a building or a relic unit.

Wow, these guys sound good, and like a challenge. It would be cool if they were added into the next game, but they already got the two races announced. I still think that someone should make them as a custom race for DoW.

they wont add a new army to dow because all the armies are based upon all the Warhammer 40,000 armies and this isnt one of them but this does sound like a good idea for a mod but the relic units do sound wierd...

I just hit my head so fucking hard after reading this... Why, you ask? "oldest race in the history of Warhammer" "They are spirits who were rejected from their old bodies, and they seek vengance on all races" "but infantry move slow" "later on they upgrade and can morph into the relic unit" I stopped reading there. Necrons, anyone?

:p Thanks. Ok i've got an idea for some more units. The Roses. They are long-range sniper squads of 2 and are fast, but have low health. They can teleport but are not infiltrated. The leader of the squad is called the petal. They have a double-barrelled sniper and improves health and moral. Memories are the elite units. They are long-range and can be upgraded with different weapons. Their squad size is 3 and they have a lot of health. They use weapons that shoot 'Stigma', a substance only the forgotten can handle. It is effective against all targets, but they are slow firing. Memories can teleport but move very slowly. The Valkyrie is the commander (as I said earlier). She can take over any infanry unit and gain it's powers, but when that unit dies the valkyrie dies. She is good at close-combat and wields one or two swords. You have the option to choose whether she has one or two, but this affects her combat ability. If she has two swords, she is faster but weaker. One sword is slower but more powerful. She also has an ability to transform frienldy units around her into blades at a cost of 300 energy and 500 splinter energy. The epicenter is a vehicle which exels at disrupting infantry. They send shockwaves along the grond, which knocks infantry down but it doesn't harm them. It is good at destroying buildings though. Haven't finished yet, ill keep updating!

okay... necrons weren't rejected from their bodies, they dont morph into the relic unit, the units are different, it says that necron are ancient but how long before man were they? The necrons don't seek vengance, they seek to exterminate all life, and anyway it's not likely this army is going to be made. I think.

Um no. They don't fit in anywhere, all the units remind me exactly of the scrin from C&C 3, you gotta bear in mind it's a tabletop game with some hard fluff behind it, inventing an entire race takes more than just adding it to a game.

Why are the names and weapons all built around flower parts? I mean, stigma is all right, but petal?!?
