No they are not. Except for the pariahs.

And why use a human group?

Why not one of the unused races of 40k? Like the xenarchs and others..

YEs I have =D

Anyways, bio-mechs are sorta like necrons. I think a very strong human group would be cool.

Maybe a different spin on the view your looking for. Human Colony, separated by a warp storm for a few thousand years. Planetary conditions slowly decay, and the inhabitants are forced to break the emperors laws about advancing in technology. Technology advances slightly ahead of the standard imperial forces and city's, but advancing technology is not enough to maintain planetary stability,so they turn to a low end form of bio-enhancement (basic genetic modifications making them somewhat more durable than regular humans). The warp storm finally stops, a group of tech priests from mars who had been monitoring and recording data from the warp storm make contact with the planet. Finding the people still loyal to the Imperium, the trans-human forces are integrated back into the Imperium under the jurisdiction of Mars, and under care full watch of the inquisition. With their advanced physical attributes, but relatively low numbers it made them ideal candidates for storm troopers and death worlders, for dealing with civil unrest when the Imperial guard had bigger fish to fry and the situation did not warrant Astarte attention. Being a mobile strike force they forsake the use of heavy vehicles, and instead focused on disruption weaponry and tactics, such as plasma shield blockades, sniper tactics, extreme riot control, mine fields, and emp weaponry, to be used along with guerrilla warfare tactics.

something along those lines maybe?

I was thinking more of the lines around powerful weapons that typical humans could not create, Like a 3 shots (hold in your hand) Auto-cannon. "The People" Are very technologically advanced in the weapons, and there tactics. Since cursed by the machine spirit, they couldn't use any vehicles. I was thinking some units could be Bio-humans. (Kinda like bionic woman =D) Though trying to go into a sate where they are not in (or are) a vehicle state or form. Also, there melee would be very powerful in there melee capabilities. Such as upgraded chainswords the priests were given (Remember, they were Imperial Guards). Also maybe a new resource they found had could of changed melee overall. The point is I am trying to have anything in this army relating to vehicular weapons or transport.

That's better. But basic biomodifaction isn't going to give them a real edge. For instance the chem dogs (no idea what world they hail from) are quite often also genetically modified.

The way you make it sound, you'd love to have something like a steal legion imperial guard, with lots of light vehicles.

Wouldn't it be better to do the Ssaim-Hamm craftword? Since they seem to be what you want.

that's a good idea, a new race of humans that evolves alone in a unknown place, hidden from the emperor. you can make them like a mutant, the mutation is the curse, and so they must use technology to empower the soldiers. they can be Bio-Mutants but a different kind from the necrons. The units (all units) could have a special ability (ssounds like "supreme tactics") wich permit them to do something very cool, and it recharge in in the same time you recruit a member. I like also the "multi-gun" let me know any news! thu
