Actually, I researched, and found out that there is only 3 units that are kroot. Krootbird(No picture, but the description said it looked like a terrorbird) and a Kroothawk (Basiclly light blue kroot with wings.) And a commanding Kroot leader. So we would actually have to think of new kroot units. When witha new race, we can give them there own story, own units, and not be restricted to the W40k universe.(Well kinda, its still gotta relating to it, but not totally about it)

Also:

vista_lord;4137897will ths race have any defences or will it be like tau.

I plan to have all that stuff. But I could pull out some crazy crap from my pocket.

theres alot more units then that in the kroot i found another 2 other krrot types. a kroot with a gun riding what i think is a cold one. And the official gw kroot master shaper. you can see them both here GW Online : Warhammer 40,000 : Tau : Kroot Mercenaries here is a pdf of the kroot mercinarie army.

How about instead of them being loosing contact and building their own race up, they find weapons left over by someone ancient (not to good on the lore side , creators? someone?). Said weapons rival even necrons but the people become corrupt with power. so forth so forth, just long as it isnt another Imperium of lies faction.

That's probably the most cliche'd fantasy/sci fi story out there. :~ And one not really fitting wh40k.

You can say that about every single race in the main line of WH40k. Even Chaos could be seen as good under a certain light.

For Wraithcat: The chem dogs came from the planet called Salvar and aren't bionicly advanced, but more like using drugs to be more courageous. They are only robbers gone fighting.

Something else: The couldn't be re-integrated into the Imperium as bionicly evolved or muted. One of the first thing I saw when I entered into the Citadel industry was: KILL THE XENO, THE HERETIC AND THE MUTANT. However the T'au empire could integrate them, as they are peaceful. They just want the supeme good.

For the Kroots to be in their own army, it already exists. I think it is called a kinship (I dunnow I'm just using my dictionary here ^^), and it adds some new units, The kroothawk, the krootbird, the kroot "king". But I think you can invent a lot of kroot evolutions, as they absorb the DNA of what they eat (strange theory, as humans have the same DNA structure as the rest of the earth's living entities... Not the same as the entire universe's living entities ^^).

I think it is a good idea after all, but the could only defend their planet against any invasion from anybody, or being allied from the T'au, as the Vespids and the Kroots are.

didn't they use a number of bio grafts though?

On another note, I asked for something about the chem dogs =-o

How about giving the Vespids their own race :P

Imagine that tier one rush....

You could work on creating a Tau auxiliary race.
