Hi guys. I am finding it quite hard to win this Campain mode on Hard. I haven't attempted to assault any strongholds yet. ATM I'm cruising around the map picking up honor Guard units and the bonus territories.

What I am struggling with is defending my territory. When it is 1v1 I rush and I destory my enemies. When it is 1v2 If I turtle I get outnumbered, If I rush I get countered by the other computer and die.

Anyone got any good tips on how to do this?

The best thing I can think of is when I conquer a territory fill my base with turret and tonnes of buildings including 3 monoliths so that when I get attacked I can rush one computer and hopefully hold off the other one at the same time.

Would love to hear any pro tips you guys may have. On a side note I have won the Hard campain as Space Marines and on Medium I have done it as Tau, Space Marines and Necrons.

once you conquer a territory, don't turtle in your main base, establish forward positions at the points were you know both the enemy's bases will spawn. Build an encampment a little ways outside of theirs and fill it full of turrets and production facility's so when your attacked, you can immediately get some heavy weapons and vehicles into the fray before they can even attempt to mount on offense. Tech up to the max level before you ahnihilate them and make sure to have a fully restored monolith waiting nearby the enemy base, when the next game starts just spend your initial power and turn it into a fully operational mono, the rest is easy.

It varies depending on the map, on some maps like the moriah coast, build near the relic in the middle north west area, and the critical location in the mid north east area. Put a row or a clump of towers a little ways back from the bottom of the ramp. In the Panrea Lowlands, build a row of turrets (missle or equivalent upgrade) on the sides of the 2 slopes adjacent to weer their bases start, then put afew turrets in the central area. in this map your turrets will be able to attack the enemy HQ as soon as you start, and putting other turrets in the middle area will allow you to dispense with the enemy honor guard with little to no real effort.

Those are the only two maps i know off the top of my head, the rest of them you will just have to judge yourself, but you get used to it pretty quickly. :)

Well I started building my extra monoliths further out from my base and putting some turrets with them. I have to say this has made all the world of difference. I just defeneded against two chaos and two tau twice.

My biggest problem when playing as Necron is when I'm vs computers who mass up huge armies and send em too me, like Orc's and IG. I just dont know how to fight off these things when they have a Squiggoth or a Baneblade. I guess the answer is don't let em get a big army?

Well thats the easiest way, but when your facing a squigoth + horde or a baneblade your necron lord will play a key role in stopping the army. When fighting the orks, as soon as you see the squigoth send your lord right at it and go nightbringer as soon as your lord gets swarmed, the squigoths bulky and can't maneuver around the smaller units to escape him, and the nightbringer does excellent damage vs daemons like the squigoth.

When against the ig assault force, Solar pulse will make all the difference. It will stop the fire of the ig long enough for your pariahs and other cc units to start to eat through the ranks, while a veil of shadows + monolith never hurts the process either. the solar pulse is also great against a baneblade but, since it has a considerable cool-down time and it's use can be critical, also keep 1 or 2 destroyer lords near, so then if the BB starts giving you trouble just stasis field it to buy time until another solar flare is ready. Stasis field is also great for preventing heavy units advance or retreat as the guard mens pathing tends to choke up pathways.

hope that helps a bit. :greenflame:
