After the announcement of Soulstorm, I realized the Necrons won't have any air units to use. Should they completely forget about air units and instead add the Deceiver? I think so. For a link to hear what he's all about: Warhammer 40,000 - Necrons According to this description, the Deceiver would not be as powerful as the Nightbringer, but he may be able to give the Necrons a boost in morale, attack, or whatever stats need boosting. His attack power wouldn't be like the Nightbringer, but he may be able to function like an Ethereal or a Farseer. Who's special abilities and powers make up for his lack of attack.
Necrons actually have quite a few air units they could be using. They have the Dirge class (small raider), jackal class (escort/raider), Shroud class (Light cruiser), Scythe (Harvester ship) and Cairn ( Tomb ship, so basically the all power full mother ship).
here's the link. Battlefleet Gothic
Whoa! Never realized the Necrons had so much. Sweet. But should the Deceiver be included? Or will balancing issues cause it to be scratched. P.S: I don't like rap.
i Hope they include the Deceiver. Maybe it will be presented as another transformation option for the necron lord.
BFG is an entirely different scale then stock 40k and DoW. The smallest of their ships about 500m long, the largest 8km.
Go play the DoW: Kingdom mod. That's a battlebarge, one of the smallest.
You can have a 1024x1024 map on the deck of a Cairn or Scythe and not see the edges of the ship.
They may include the pylon as perhaps a vehicle similar in the way to heavy weapons teams, or just have it as a turret, other than that there's the deciever and nothing else.
o sorry, i think i misunderstood the question, you were talking small craft like, Thunder Hawks, Ravens and Fightabombaz. When i heard of air units i thought that meant that there may be space battles when trying to transfer from planet to planet. I never noticed before that there was a Dark Eldar raven in a game screen shot :p.
No, that's cool, I was under the impression they teleported around in their monoliths after playing Winter Assault.
