Alright simple question here: -I thought somewhere I saw that in Dark Crusade your units gain experience but I don't really believe this. Just asking for someone to set me straight on this.

units don't gain xp. just as u go along threw the campgin u will get more uprgades for them

there is a mod that does this but it still needs work on it. It's called "Heroes: Roleplaying". It's for WA n it works good, everyone has a higher weapon accuracy at start n eventually get higher. The highest ive gotten any unit was probably 15. This mod does work on vehicles n unique units (uber units), n lvls them up too. this mod is a mini-mod n u can turn it on in the win conditions called heroes. U can play this with AI mod too n it works. Every unit automaticlly reinforce as soon as they spawn, n every unit casts their skills n spells without u being there, including grenades, anything. The reinforcment has a limit to it's max to u have to turn it on again by right-clicking the reinforcment button. Leaders n specials weapons u have to do though. Every unit lvls, so their life, morale, damage, movement, weapon accuracy increase. Units spawning from any buildings spawn faster, builders build a lot faster, units capture points a lot faster. Units u r reinforcing i think r the same. this mini-mod helps u a lot, especially when ur not there n need to spawn units n stuff. When i send my Pyskers, for example, to go in to cast their skills whether curse of the machines or whatever, they do it when they get in reach. Yes, yes, the casting radius increases too, forgot that. If u can keep ur squad or units alive the longest, they can become really really strong against almost anything. THIS WORKS WITH STEEL LEGION n NIGHT SHIFT MODS, ive tried it n it works! how to tell if ur squads or units have lvled up from others: when ur units lvl up, have to be close to battle or get hit by at least something, ur units get a redish-blue arua, like when terminators teleport or warp spiders teleport. Over time, each unit or squad will have differ things in their appearances around them. Like a weapon upgrade, a blast, smoke grenade, sparks from chaos taint, mad doks healing arua (which doesnt work, niether does apodarcy), etc - list goes on. Same goes with vehicles n unique units. If they have an explosion hitting them, its most likely it's just an arua because they r in a high lvl. how do u tell what lvl they r? Hmm not sure exactly, but if look at the message board to the left, as if u upgraded something it, something will show u n icon n message saying it is completed, etc. An icon similar to the SM skull thing on the vehicle building in the middle (cant miss it!) will appear n tell only what squad or unit has reached the next lvl, but not what team that squad or unit has lvled from, so it's hard to tell. the biggest downfall of this mod: the biggest downfall is probably when ur units get close breaking morale, when this happens, ur squad or unit's morale goes straight down to zero. When this happens, everything the unit gets like life, movement, weapon accuracy, etc. will back down to default, but by default i mean as in the regular game style without the mod on. They can lvl up, but their accuracy will be smaller from scratch then usually when u first started the game with the mod on. I had fire dragons shoot farther then the Kasrkin squad in normal game without the mod but when they hit morale, everything that they got, *poof* into thin air. If ur squad or unit is immune to morale, ur good.

It might be like in Rome Total war, they get some attack bonuses and extra health, I saw that too, but I think it meant that you carry your army from battle to battle.

o also, ur attack bonus n defense bonus increase when u reach certain lvls

I think what you may be referring to is the way your Primary heroes can be equipped with new wargear as they progress through the campaign. SFD

There's also supposed to be something called the "Honor Guard", which I'm still unsure about what it's supposed to be.

Is there a way for the Roleplaying mod to work on original DOW? That looks so similar to Rome: Total War. Also, i just thought of this, but wouldnt the Space Marines have more mobility? couldn't they have a whole army based in orbit, and use the orbital relay to take them back up after they've finished a battle?

hmm no this doesnt effect orbital relay, orbital strike it does. Casting of teleportation doesnt increase but distance does.

um i think it's only for WA but hold on n let me check n give u n update in a bit....... y dont u have WA? it's better then DoW n DC is coming out too.

UPDATE: nope sry, just WA, it is a real bummer if u get a squad into breaking morale, because then they will turn to a default squad like without the mini-mod on but can still lvl.

Every race's population cap n vehicle cap get raised up to 30! Orks is still 100, but 30 in the vehicle cap.
