I'm down to the last territory in SS. I've conquered everything else except the Necron HQ territory. I've tried several times and just can't seem to finish this board off. I've tried rushing the objectives, to no avail. I've tried to take every encounter one-by-one, and it just doesn't work for me. On my last attempt(this afternoon), I discounted the monolith timers(figuring it wouldn't make sense to hit the critical locations and waste time defending them. That worked long enough to destroy the monoliths, but it all just fell apart from there. Can anyone offer any guidance for future assualts? Thanks in advance.

what difficulty are you on? i built Seraphim, jumped in and used Krak grenades on the monoliths repeatedly then have exorcists, penitent engines and lightning fighters ready with massed battle sisters to storm them

Don't rush. Build up a good eco first. Then I suggest hitting the two secondary objectives first. Make sure you leave at least one or two squads at your base. Get your two commanders and a repentia squad in rhinos and take the bases. Then go to each critical and uncap it. One by one, leave a single celestian squad to guard each one. Or just mass your entire army (but keep some defensive squads in your base) and charge each Monolith.

I like to build up a good defensible base then just take a few caps while waiting for the monoliths to be completed, i then just wait for the monoliths to come to me and hit them with everything i have along with the base defenses. i've done this using chaos and sisters of battle so far with no problems. yet. ;)

heh i have found the necrons by far the easyest actualy you just got to secure the SPs in your imdiete area and then things should get much easyer(IF you place some mines and or turrets near the SP) heh plus i like to make small "decoy" bases scattered about the map to keep the main armys busy wile i sneak in with masses of celstiean serphim and repitina sqauds backing immolators penit and exsorcist. if you can spare it try to nab the relic from them before there monoliths go online cuz after all the mono is bested easly by the saint alone but still give her fire support for good messure oh and i find that harrasing the monoliths early on with LFs keeps em distracted and can actuly take down monos in there 1st and 2nd stages provided you have a realy good eco. well hope this all helps

i took it over by building a couple hq's so i could have many turrets for defense, then used lots of celestian squads backed up with immolaters, took about 2 1/2 hours but i got the job done

id just hold off until u get peninents the rush 2 of them towards a single monilith ignoring all the enemys and get the chopping. ignore the crit points and if u want this stratigey to work better then bombard the place with exorcist missels (in the little section behind or next to the monilith) although it doesnt really make an impact. if ur IG just get within basilisk range and earthshaker the hell outta it
