air units anger me and i wish i had never bought SS the DE i think only the jet troops are effective for how i play and the SOB have no good weapons or units and die more than guard!

The one thing i greatly love about one flyer, the imp bomber, is the smoke screen ability, it has given me the small edge of cover in an open situation many times and one me the game, is use the bombers as a support to my army and it works great. Promethium runs or what ever there called, are really good when you drop it infront of the enemy and behind the enemy, Also its good for dropping infront of your lines when you se close combat troops running up to you lines. I think that all the flyers have there place in the game, its just depends on how you use them, the nightwings are great for small quick rades and taking out other aircraft when you have all 5 of them out, also keep them right behind your fron lines to give support from close combat units, same with most of the other flyers. the space marine tempests are good with krack at av and good ve infantry with the frag. Fighta bombers are good artillery, i count them as that, dark eldar.... havnt played to much with them yet all i know is they slow down vehicles. the only flyer i find usesless is the necron attack scarabs, they were amazing ground units, so why did hey make them flyers, and on top of that THEY CAN ONLY ATTACK OTHER FLYERS!!! i tried using them and the only other flyer they can kill succesfully almost every time is the imp and ork bombers, if they dont have support.

eh, whatever as far as I am concerned the addition of air units was a useless idea from the start, just something that relic and ironlore wanted to use to wow us with and get us to spend the money, and sadly it worked >.> Anyways unless they made up some new units a few races already have just about everything from TT in this game. And the point of adding more units isn't something that relic and ironlore are into at this point I'm sure, since this game has reached the end of it's lifetime and will soon be left behind for DOW2. No, ever since DC the series has begun to really go down hill, and to my disatisfaction multiplayer is horribly repetitive, just as much as campaign, its always the same tactics, mass, charge. or sneak in a stealthed unit and drop EVERYTHING. Whoever has the largest force wins, it comes down to brute strength, and any intelligent tactics become obsolete, wow an RTS with no strategy.........;__; So if yer smart return it for your money back or move onto a better game and try DOW2, but leave SS to fade away I give it a 2 out of 5 lol

dude they havent had an RTS that isnt "the biggest force wins" in all of forever. DoW tried to help by subtracting the resource gathering. it help a lil sure but the point is that they tried. i think the reason why they made SS is so it would sait ur WH 40k thirst for a few months. they whipped it together nice and fast so they have more time to work on DoW2 which promises to be epic. gotta give a lil to get a lil

Personally, I thought SS was okay. Sure the flying units were not spectacular and the SoB and DE wer'nt the most popular races they made, but the SoB and DE made playing against the comp in those 8 player matches alot more fun in free for all mode. That's my personal opinion.

I never win with brute strength, I always win with just a handful of squads and maybe 2 or 3 tanks, Good tactics will beat pure strength any day.
