i think relic did a shit job with the imperial guard in winter assault coz they hav ridiculous caps, even orks hav more than guard, which is wrong. the imperial guard are supposed to be the biggest army in numbers in thw w40k universe, but relic made them look like a small bunch of easy-to-kill people. i cant see how 20/20 cap can be the right cap for imperial guard. does any one else agree with me?:mad:

No, And i will personaly laugh at anyone who thinks they are "easy to kil"

And for you're comment on the caps : You can get 100 imperal guardsmen squads, + 3 pykers +3 priests + 3 commisonars.

And you can get 50 kasrkin with +3 pykers + 3commisonars +3 preists.

And for future referance on the "easy to kill" They have bugged armour so they take less damage from most weapons and leaves them immune to some weapons. Commisonars are mini-healers at tier 1 and give moral immunity. And the priests give an extra 100 health. And a damage bonus. Not to mention they have no penalty when moving.

true, a 35/24 would be better 135/17 for orks 20/20 sm and chaos and eldar btw, i play ig most of the time and i do like them, maybe a air drop unit?

I really like the Imperial Guard. In the expansion pack however I was a little bit disopointed because,A- they were supposed to be a turtling race ( thats what I do but I have gotten better ) B- I wanted squads of 20 with each unit at some riducluly low health level to even it out. But I am happy with Relic never the less, just slightly dispointed. P.S. A good guard player can kick ass with guard they aren't hard to kill!

yeah, they didnt get enough cap. but they do take a bit of killing. which is surprising for guard.

I know its odd. I so so so hope they redo the guard race in the next expansion pack. If only I was relaited to someone at Relic, that would be the day.

You may be right about them being a turtle race in reality (if there is such a thing) but in game terms the strain on any computer system greatly increases when lots of men are on screen...i think anymore would just be too much for some to handle. As i said in my other thread, i'm allready sick of losers bombing out cos there crap computers can't take the strain, it doesn't need to be any worse. The game balance is all to cock, but i think the caps are ok. Relic seam to have compromised by havin a smaller cap but higher health...which is fine by me.

Orks are more numerous in the galaxy btw aswell, not guard.

2 units they wont put in are probably ork dreadnaughts due to killa kans being very similar anyway (the models for killa kans in game are the same as dreadnaught TT models as far as im aware) and looted rhinos, i mean, whats the point? wartrakks are faster and have guns, and can still carry troops
