I remeber playing a game called Command and Conquer: Generals: Zero Hour. in that game, your base was powered by your faction's power plants. If your generators were destroyed, radar went out, defenses offline, and factorys couldn't build anything. I was wondering, how would that be in DOWWA or Dark Crusade? say you're trying to get past a part of fort, you could call in an air strike, and defenses would go off. Im not saying everything, but maybe it could be channeled, so generator 4 supplies power to the Stronghold, 3 and 5 power the defensive wall, and so on. take out the power resource, or maybe use it like batteries, you could eventually collect it and send it around. but maybe there should be radius for the generators.

not liking the idea frankly mate.. dawn of war is different than c&c and all the other RTS, thats why I like it. nice and simple, big armies, cool battles, and strategy is actually important. I get what you're saying though and it would be great for strategies and such, but SMs would have a huge advantage cos they could DS in quickly, take out all power plants then that sets back the enemy for absoute ages..

wait, after rereading your post it seems that you dont own the game and you were wondering, not suggesting an idea for the next game. in that case, heres the info.. wait, I really cant be arsed typing, its too damn hot, sorry..

no i own DOW with DOWWA have v1.51 patch and have Modtools 1.41 compatible with it! i own the game! I just think that the power resource isn't much of a resource for vechiles. i guess batteries but..........

We're only at patch 1.5 sgt:p As for your idea,i really don't know how well it would work.If power plants made everything run,that would mean if you simply took our your enemy's plant they'd have no way of producing more troops,so anti-building units would be so overpowered the game wouldn't be worth playing.What's the fun if your enemy only has to shut down one building and you can't fight back?A power grid would be neat though,as 3 generators could make a machine cult build faster than if you had 1,which would be needed to power the platform.If you had a power plant for each building,that doesn't seem too bad of an idea,but one power plant running everything?I think not.

well, what i mean is a limited number of power plants, like 14 for each stronghold or base or whatever. the power grid could power certain buildings and not all, so if 3 were destroyed you could channel power to only the places that need it. but i like your idea about only it going faster. that sounds good.

No we are not. The latest patch was v1.5. If they make minor adjustments to it again, it will be 1.51. If they add loads to it it will be 1.6. Back on topic please.

that would suck alot i hate command and conquer and i dont want a game lik it the power idea is bad it besides every building in the game comes together just a little bit of building needed so it would prob already come with a power source

and it would turn sm into gods(more than they already are) it would turn standard games into hell
