Kilbe's Secrets of Eldar in Dawn of War: Winter Assault {Patch 1.41} ------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------

General Build Order on Standard =============================== Guardians(*2), AspectPortal. PlasmaGenerator, BoneSinger, Re-enforce guardians (without leaders so you can buy the Farseer immediately) and take two close points with first squad and one distance point with second squad. GO LOOKING FOR A FIGHT WITH FARSEER AND RE-ENFORCED GUARDIANS (if you did that quick enough nothing will take you out), Cap all points immediately (they give you an immediate requisition boost on completion, this is vital) /*NOTE: you will probably find a command unit to fight, use the farseer's second ability on the command unit and her first ability on the actual infantry unit*/ BansheeAspect, PlasmaGenerator. FleetofFoot, Banshees (go help Farseer, probably struggling by now if your opponent is good). SoulShrine, Banshees, BoneSinger(*2) (get all BoneSingers on SoulShrine). BansheeUpgrade Aspect, SupportPortal, Banshees(*2), WebwayGate (to hide main base). PlasmaGenerator(*m), ShroudBuilding Aspect, Wraithlord Aspect, Tank Aspect. Wraithlord(*2), Banshees(*3), WebwayGates(*m) (everywhere). GO LOOKING FOR A FIGHT, USE WRAITHLORDS TO TAKE OUT IMPORTANT BULDINGS LIKE ARMARY, SOULSHRINE ETC (QUICK). MobileizeForwar Aspect, Wraithlords(*n), FirstRequisition Aspect, FirstPower Aspect. ** BIG FIGHT WraithLords(*n), Banshees(*n) Pick your moment for the rest of the technology ** AnnihalateTheEnemy Aspect, SecondPower Aspect, SecondRequisition Aspect, WarpSpider Aspect. Armour Aspect, Accuracy Aspect, Farseer1 Aspect, SupportPortal(*2 more). Relocate base to safe position, Avatar, PrismTank Aspects. All remaining Aspects. Overwatch Prism Tanks, Overwatch WarpSpiders. /*You are now established, build new HQs around the map with more Plasma Generators*/ //notes This Build order assumes there is NO Thermo Plasma spot on the map, if there is then build there before your first Plasma Generator. Standard is all about timing (race specific timing). Eldar have certain moments when they are best, and worst, so this Build Order tries to make best use of that. General Build Order on Quick Start ================================== BoneSinger (*3), Guardians(*3), FleetofFoot, AspectPortal, ThermoPlasma. Take 2 Points nearest and 1 far away (inc Relic), SoulShrine, WebwayGate to hide ThermoPlasma, Banshee Aspect, Farseer. Seer Council, BansheeUpgrade Aspect, SupportPortal, ShroudBuilding Aspect, RelocateBuilding Aspect, WebwayGateHeal Aspect, ListeningPost(*2 nearest), FirstPower Aspect, BansheeOverwatch, AspectPortal RallyPoint set, Take remaining points. SecondPower Aspect, FirstRequisition Aspect, Update all ListeningPosts, Wraithlord Aspect, Tank Aspect, WebwayGates next to all Points, ModileizeForwar Aspect. SecondRequisition Aspect, Wraithlord Overwatch, Set SupportPortal Rally Point, AnnihalateTheEnemy Aspect, Armour Aspect, Accuracy Aspect, Farseer Aspect, SupportPortal(*2 more), AspectPortal. Relocate base to safe possition, Avatar, PrismTank Aspects, All remaining Aspects. Overwatch Prism Tanks, Overwatch WarpSpiders, Set AspectPortal RallyPoint to a WebwayGate. /*You are now established, build new HQs around the map with more Plasma Generators*/ //notes This Build order assumes there is a Thermo Plasma spot on the map, if not replace with max number of plasma generators. This is a VERY good general purpose Build order, but remember you may need to adapt. If you stick to this Build Order and then learn how to change things over time you are likely to do well. I taught a friend to use this QS build order and in her first 97 games she has won 84 of them (four stars), with no campaign experience.

General Building Advice ======================= Relocate all your major base (SoulShrine, Aspect Portal and HQ) before SM/Chaos get deep strike. (They'll turn up and wonder where everything went) Keep your Bone Singers constantly busy, you can never have to many Webway gates (if your requisition allows). Be imaginative with your building locations, this is one of the Eldar's biggest advantages.

General Battle Advice ===================== Always be attacking somewhere with something. Attack is THE best form of defence in Dawn of War. The initial fight is very important (not world shattering, but very important) Focus all fire on the commander unit first, whey they die the rest is mopping up. Do not just attack at one place with Overwatch, you will be killed, Prisms jump over terrain and can get into the back of bases. A mixed force of men generally will work best, particually in the latter stages of the game, a Firedragon / WarpSpider combo is very effective. Use the Haywire granades at every oppertunity, they are EPIC. Group your Prism Tanks and almost nothing will take them out. Keep Prism Tanks separate from men when attacking, they kill your own men with their knock down blasts. Keep Farseer/Seer Council near base to catch hidden units as they attack. Use a Bonesinger teleport ability to get into the back of the enemy's base, build Webway gates and then empty men into your enemy's base. (use Firedragons for max affect) Buildings can be relocated into your opponent’s base if you have a Webway gate there. (and they'll be shrouded while they relocate) If your fight is not going well then join someone else’s. Attack in one place with your whole army, wait till enemy has deep-striked his VERY VERY SLOW terminators in and then teleport, Fleet of foot, Webway gate (or just run) to another (unprotected) area. If an opponent tries to run past you into your base then deploy all men as a physical barricade. They will die trying to rush past you. (common problem with Chaos Berserkers and Possessed SM) Try to keep all your men in the Webway gates so you can deploy them the instant you need them, where you need them. When units are deep-striked they usually (although not always) arrive not reinforced. Attack these units early and save yourself a lot of effort. Focus all your attacks on one unit at a time for best affect. Keep your Avatar out of the way as much as you can. He increases your Power significantly (essential for Prism Tanks) and most importantly he increases you Prism Tank limit to 10 (from 6, BIG difference) When fighting Terminators use Prism Tanks or Banshees (not Warp Spiders unless you have a serious number advantage). Imperial Guard infantry seem particularly vulnerable to Wraithlords. Imperial Guard Turrents should not be ignored, they are particularly powerful. Imperial Guard 'Sentinal Spam' should be countered with mass Banshees (With Upgrade) Never use Eldar turrets, they are C.R.A.P! When taking a base out, use Firedragons, Wraithlords or Prism Tanks for greatest affect. (building and tank damage from Firedragons is EPIC)

Nice work doing all that. One thing though, keep your avatar out of the way? No! The avatar is a monster in CC, use him! The Eldar need that kind of power, they are otherwise a fragile race! Good work though.

Unfortunately, there is no rhino rushing in 4th edition. Because of that, Space Wolves became weaker.

In 4th edition u can only disembark and shoot. That is all :(

Everyone puts Closer to Codex Firestorm as link for a codex mod but to tell you the truth it is far from a exact codex mod! The units look great (like in TT) but besides from that their really isn't much at all that makes it a TT similation. You can build a Khorne and Nurgle champion with chaos and that isn't TT along with some other things. I'm not saying the mod is bad but it isn't the exact TT conversion everyone says it is.
