War Hawki was talking about where the song 'Ride of the Valkaries' is located in the battlefield directory. btw padre, nice addition to your avatar

Thanks :) And in the BFV directory it's ... MISSING. Actually I don't know where it is. All the other songs are in the EA GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\BFVietnam\Music .... I think it's buried somewhere in an RFA.

Cambocool ive always wondered what that asian lady was saying in white rabbit.

That's no Asian lady, that's Grace Slick!!!! Actually she's singing about taking pills and then she discribes what she sees. The text makes no sense at all ('Remember what the doormat said'???). But the song is pretty cool. I have a live-version of it (bootleg) and that's even weirder.

In the remix version of White Rabbit used in BFV for the main menu there are no lyrics from the original song. They included a rather famous soundclip from a Hanoi Hannah (Thu Houng) broadcast, and that's what Cambo is referring to. "How are you, GI Joe? It seems to me that most of you are poorly informed about the going of the war, to say nothing about a correct explanation of your presence over here. Nothing is more confused than to be ordered into a war to die or to be maimed for life without the faintest idea of what's going on." - Hanoi Hannah, 16 June 1967

I love the music in BFV! I recently bought a CD entitled: Vietnam-A House Divided It's pretty cool. White Rabbit is in there. When it started up I immediately thought of BFV. War is on it, too. I felt like I was flying in a Huey again. The second side is the best, IMHO. The Ballad of the Green Beret is on it, as well as that Country Joe song: "One, Two, Three what are we fightin' for? I don't give a damn, next stop is Vietnam." There's also some small comments from LBJ and Nixon on it.

I showed the BFV Soundtrack to my dad. He looked it over, muttering "cool... cool..." all down the line. He then handed it back to me and stated:

"Yeah, all good stuff. Everything I heard when I was there - `cept that "War" crap. No one in Da Nang wanted to hear that assh*le Edwin Starr."

My dad kills me :D

War HawkOr you can download it off of www.bfvfiles.com

Sorry, this is basically a bump, but I had to mention that I was the creator of that file, but I requested it to be removed because I didn't want to get in trouble with the law. :uhoh: Also, Padre, I have a question that isn't answered (or at least I think it isn't answered) in your FAQ--when you have custom music in your My Music directory and you play one of the custom songs in-game, what do people (with default music/no custom music in their directory) hear? Do they hear one particular song, or does the engine pick a random default song? Or, do they hear nothing?

MusicFAQ2-3b Can everyone hear the custom music? No. The only person who can hear the custom music you place in your "My Music" directory is you, even if everyone has the exact same files in their folder.

We actually tested this, and other people don't hear anything at all. I'm glad someone's still looking at this, even if it is to give it a bump! I still have to make that tunnel FAQ. I've just been busy recently.

Thanks for the quick reply, I've always been wondering what exactly other people hear. Also, I look forward to your future FAQs, Padre. :deal:

You went too far. By default your custom music folder is:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam\My Music
