ok, ive looked thought the posts, doesnt seem to be one quite like this:

ok, i installed BFV, all was pink, which was fixed, so thats cool. Then i realised i had no room on my C drive. So i moved BFV to the D drive.

When i ran it, it came up with a message 'invalid CD key'. Ok, i thought, ill put it back on the C drive. Still the same....

then, when i tried to uninstal it, it comes up with the window that has the list of boxes to tick. I click next and the window minimises, opens again and then says it has finished when really it has done nothing...

So then, after lots of impatience, i deleted the Bf vietnam folder. Now the game wont let me do anything. I run the autorun on the cd (ive tried all of them) and then it comes up with the box without the options play or install (which is understandable) It comes up with uninstal but it comes up with the window that has the list of boxes to tick. I click next and the window minimises, opens again and then says it has finished when really it has done nothing...(sounds familiar)

ok, now when i explore the CD and run the setup.exe,it comes up with the window that has the list of boxes to tick. I click next and the window minimises, opens again and then says it has finished when really it has done nothing... (AAAAAAAGH, AGAIN!!!)

ok, now you see my problem... CAN YOU HELP? (other than wiping the HDDs)

this is definatly not related to my hardware so theres no point posting it

did u install it to the other drive or just move it? if u just moved it u may have to do a system restore back to before u installed the game. may not be a must but thats what i would do

It did the same thing to me. What you will have to do since you deleted the BFV folder and all files is edit your registry. Go to "Run" and type in regedit then hit enter. There are 2 places you have to edit. 1: HKEY_CURRENT_USER go to the software folder, delete Battlefield Vietnam folder and all it's contents. 2: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE go to the software folder, delete EAGames folder and it's contents ONLY IF YOU HAVE NO OTHER EA GAMES INSTALLED. Otherwise delete only the folders directly related to BFV and PB for BFV. After you have done that you can clean install of BFV. Good luck
