I see a lot of people are having difficulties with this..But I have a brand new computer and didnt think I would be one..but was I sorley wrong..ANyhow...So my specs are a clone CPU with a P4 with 512Megs of RAM, I have an ATI Radeaon 9000 with 64megs of RAM. have plenty of room on the 40gig hd...so I loaded the game no problem. And now that I am trying to play here is where it gives me trouble..Wether I choose singleplayer or multiplayer the game begins to load and gets about half way and then quits out and puts me back at the desktop...no errors or windows pop up saying what went wrong..Just plain old kicking me out of the program and back to the desktop..I was reading somewhere that someone had trouble when they had Daemon installed...I havent tried uninstalling that and then going..but thats next..anyone have any insight or the same thing happening to them?? I am lost as of what to do next..please any help would be great..Oh yeah..IO have Windows 98 2nd edition...thanks all

I've daemon installed and I had only problems with some drivers. Now it works perfectly!

I'm having the exact same problem. Loading screen goes to about 50% and then BANG! It closes and I'm back to my desktop.

Here are my specs: P4 1.8 1.5GB Ram 60GB HD (With plenty of room) WinXP Pro Asus AGP-V7700Pro Deluxe 64MB Ok, I don't have the newest PC in the world but still. I tried lowering the video options to the bare minimal and I still get this problem. Did anyone hear of a patch that would fix this??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same problem I go to lad a single player game and at like 25% BAM! back to the desktop. I just reinstalled Windows I have:

Windows Service Pack 2 ALL updated drivers AMD +2000 XP 512 PC2700 RAM ATI 9600 SE 128mb RAM ASUS A7V8X-X mobo <-- build-in audio died so..... Sound Blaster PCI 128

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have also tried reupdating all of my drivers. None of these have had any effect. When I run it i run it with everything even explorer shutdown except for absolutely vital system programs. Please help. thank you.

I use to have problems with loading all BF games, be it 1942 or BFV. Here's my solutions : first do a Disk Cleanup of any unused file. Then Defragment your the hard drive. Afterward, go to your video driver website and install the newest driver. Access Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter by: START > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Now all my BF games are running and I'm having a great time blasting people away! Beware of me after you get your BF games running. :P I have Windows XP Pro Nvidia 6800 Geforce
