I got Battlefield Vietnam just for the multiplayer experience, but it does not work. Whenever i try to connect to a server it goes black for a second then the screen to load the level map comes up and then a second later it displays the message 'data differs from server', and goes back to the server list. It does load the serverlist fine. I run a p4 2.4ghz, 256ddr and XP. I have broadband and are connected to my router via a LAN cable. I would be grateful for any help if possible please reply to my email at wiwey_a@hotmail.com.

I guess my first question is, are you using a crack to play your game without CD, or anything that changes a file in BFV? If so then that is your problem, you need to have the original .exe from the actual CD. If that is not your problem, then I would suggest a re-install of the game, as you might have gotten a corrupt install. Else try a bunch of different servers, someone might be running a "cracked" server, and you are trying to connect to it with your "legal" copy.

Thats a version issue or you have wierd mods in your main BF folder overwriting needed files. This is a classic Reinstall every thing for a fast fix.

Please use the edit button instead of double or triple posting. Also, please do not revive old threads. I doubt this guy has been on Gaming Forum since he posted this thread. (notice only one post?) You can start a new thread with your problem.
