Killer Weed here, and i thnk bfv is awesome game.I must say there is game performance issue with me. AMD 2200 Athlon ATI 9200 Radeon 128mb 768 ddr ram 120gb hd (60 gb open) 16 bit soundblaster MSI motherboard I have my in game sound and graphics set to lowest in order to enjoy playing the game, and it still doesn't run as good and smooth as bf1942 desert combat. On dc i can run sound and video graphics to max and have no lag at all.I noticed on bfv you really have to look hard for a good running server before you can enjoy no lag gaming.Where on dc any ping under 100 i have no lag what so ever.Bfv ping has to be under 60 or 70 i order for me not to have no lag in the game.Other then that the graphics, sound, weapons, vehicles, and everything else is phenominal. Its just the peformance compared to dc that i really notice. As far as the in game music goes ,its a nice feature but forget about it for myself.I have the music sisabled or i lag like crazy.I'm hoping that bfv comes out with a patch soon with a lag fix.I'd appreciate any input and suggestions. Still Puffin'(thai stick now) Killer Weed
Obviously there's some serious bugs here in this game. All of our systems should run this game fine but they don't. People are complaining about triple digit FPS #'s and then down to single digits and then back up again. Actually I have a P4 2.4c, 512Mb pc3200, audigy2, Radeon 9800pro, 875p Mobo and i have terrible lag problems and my DSL is killer too. I regularly have pings of 10-15 and it takes me at least 5 minutes before my comp starts to run the game remotely smooth. Even then does it chop up at certain times. Like riding a vespa is impossible for me because my FPS goes to about 5 from in the 100's. When there is no lag, the game is great on all details maxed out and like I said I run triple digit FPS. EA obviously released the game to compete with UT2k4, but neglected to work out all the bugs before hand. Hopefully we won't have to wait for so long like in BF1942 for decent performance!
my BF:V lags bad, i have a 1.7Ghz P4 with 768MBs pc133 and a GForce Mx440 64MBs, i get about 10 - 20 fps at the best of times, also, would a GeForce Fx5200 256MBs speed it up a bit aswell as improve graphics?
Yup... I have the sudden FPS drop problem... It's all a matter of when the GPU has to render something. Certain areas are more detailed than others... And when you look one way... then the other it slows down. I wish there was a way to stop the sudden drop or make the drop smoother.

Value <- that thing sucks 16x Memorex DVD-ROM 12x10x32 Creative Labs CD-RW As for game settings: 1024x768x32 Graphics Quality: Medium Geometry: Medium Textures: High Lightmaps: Off Shadows On My BFV will occasionally run like crap, but it seems like it's dependant on whether the scene in front of me is crowded by other players and the environment. If there is a lot of smoke effects (like in Hue and Quang Tri) plus a lot of people running around, I'll chop down to about 10 FPS. As bad as this is going to sound... If I stand still, the game looks great.

Actually, I turned off the "in-game music" and it helped tremendously with lag. Try it and see if you get the same results!
you guys should for the most part be doing fine...but the 64mb video cards are killer. get those things outta there. also a nice sound card helps a lot, as well as some drivers and a defrag. like i said i run the game perfect. and just a change of what i said before, everything is on max except textures which is on medium, and in-game music off like you guys said. no problems at all. just a 9800 pro coming soon to get those textures on high. :naughty: xp 2200 512 2100 ddr ram radeon 9500 pro sb live! 5.1 windows xp sp1
AMD athlon 1500 1.3ghz 512 sdram radeon 9600 128mb some soundcard I have all my settings on low (defaults when i installed) and its still gets choppy when theres alot of action about , theres so many different solutions to try but i dunno where to start....

I have geometry and graphics at medium, and it runs great. And I can hardly notice a difference in appearance.
