KiLLJoY8Hey everyone.... cant wait to get my hands on a copy of bfv. im just wondering though, for all of you who already have it and have been playing it. Please post your system specs and please tell me how the game runs and on what graphics and sound settings.... im just curious because i really cant play bfv on my GOOD computer for about another week so i have to try it on my old dell. so just give me a summary of how the game is running for everyone. :uhm:

SloPPyJoE :bows:

the sound got worse, graphics just a little better but not much,SEVERE lag issues, cool weapons.

i got a 2.4 gig CPU Celeron, 512 Ram, SB Live 5.1, ATI 9000 128 mb video settings at lowest in BFVietnam. My comp only runs 22 processes and i can only play with 32 people at the max. i can see why i paid only $40 at EB Games for BFVietnam cause its so damn buggy.

Hey. I paid $35 for it, and I think it was a hell of a deal. I'm gonna have to agree with Beef Flaps on this one. There's nothing wrong with the game. It's your system! BFV is a awesome game. You just need a speedy machine to run it well. A Celeron and that video card won't cut it if you're looking for good performance. You need an AMD or P4......plus a new video card. Extra RAM wouldn't hurt either.

Well, this is just a direct quote from a different post, as it sums up what I have to say without having to type it up again. :lookaround: Oh, and my specifications are in my signature, as I said before (in my quote).

Actually, after using some of the slow performance solutions that the official Battlefield Vietnam website, and settings to Medium, I can get pretty smooth gameplay with only a few choppy areas here and there. The fixes were:
  • Change DirectSound Hardware Sound Acceleration Level to "Basic"
  • Add that Game.SoundBufferSize 400
  • Lower the video settings to "Medium" instead of "High"
I'm suprised I could ever get smooth gameplay in this game, since my computer is near the lower-middle end. (See signature.) I just hope EA will release a patch so I don't have to edit my DirectX settings and etcetera just to play a game.:uhoh:

Oh, that's right, I forgot to mention that maps load fairly slow on my computer, but that's probably due to my hard drive speed. (I don't know exactly, but I'm sure it's 5400 or below.) One of those 15K RPM hard drives would work well. :naughty:
