To answer that question easily and understandable: THEY ARENT.... Sure ive got my ass whooped by some noob who found the enjoyable in the rocket launcher or he has pumped my full of led with the minigun but the fact dosent change they still arent good. I myself and other players who have been playin both UT2003 and UT2004 have all been noobs and used the spread and shoot tactic but as all noobs we all evolve an realise it just dosent hold in the long run..... So give all noobs a chanse to learn and find their own way to o good tactic and realise their own favourite tactic if not...how ever complained about a "free kill";(kiddin)

I have been playing ut2k3 almost since it came out and now that ut2k4 is out I have been constantly gaming that. The fact is that I still coniser myself a noob. I have all the timing down with the shields, helth vials, weapons, amp, and I have movement down, smart weapon switching, shield usage... but I am still learning. I don't think anyone should be considered a "master" until they have won gaming championships and tourney's. Yeah, sure I rape in death-match in local pubs, or random servers, but there is always someone better than you and me for that matter. If you have mastered the pub servers, try your skill in 1v1 matches... now THAT my fellow fraggerz is F&()*#) hard! -Rythem

I think it's ridiculous how everybody calls everybody else a noob these days. I've been gaming online a loooong time, but I've been called a noob by fools who think they have a little skill worked up -- usually after they manage a kill with a cheap shot or some other lame crap. If you use the word noob, it's probably because you don't want to be identified as such yourself. And insulting someone else just so you can come off cool ... well, that's kinda the opposite of cool, ain't it? How bout we make noob the *other* N word and just not use it, because it makes more of an ass out of the person who says it than the person it's said about.

The term "newbie" is only used by people with serious attitude problems these days. When I see players in-game who seem to lack experience, I either ignore them or give them tips. You get far more satisfaction from helping out a new player than by insulting them.
