I'm too cool to Post

Allright here's the problem.
Me and my friends often play lan games on a dedicated with 3 or 4 of us. We also hold lan parties w/30-50 people. When it's maps that everyone has, we're good. Low pings and everything.
I have found alot of good maps to play and would like every one at the lan party to play them to. The problem is that when someone does not have the map up next, it downloads extemely slow(10-15 min.). In the old UT this was not a problem unless you were on a listen server, but a dedicated would come down very fast.
I wish to figure out why this is. Poeple should not have to install of those maps themselves.:uhm:
I would apretiate any help on this matter. Thanx

I dont' know about your experience wiht fast downloads, but I never got them using the built in downloader from UT or UT2003. What had to be done was redirecting where the server grabbed files from to push down to a client that doesn't have them. This is all done by the http protocol, but Epic's implementation is very slow and not optimized for http.
