Hi,

I play ut2003 with the sniper arena mod, and spawn killing is a big problem.

Does anyone have a mut that speeds up player re-spawn times, removed the re-spawn flash, or has anything to prevent spawn killing?

Is there perhaps a tweak in the ut2003.ini file? I don't know.

Please excuse nazurax. He never says anything useful around here. Isn't that right, naz?

As for spawn killing, try looking for mutators which make the player invulnerable for the first few secs. Chaos 2003 will have this when it's out.

You are correct about naz's contribution.

By default when u re-spawn in ut2003 u are invulnerable for a sec or two. I would like players to be able to more as soon as they re-spawn, and the re-spawn 'flash' to be less. That would be a good way of lessening spawn killing. Know of any muts?

I don't know of anything to prevent blatent spawn-raping/killing, but I do know that as soon as a player fires a weapon when spawning in, they are no longer invulnerable. Just my little tidbit to add to the discussion.

And yes, I hate spawn-killers. :smack:

perhaps you should try spawn killing before you knock it, it might be fun.

You could also install an anti-camping mod that kills them if they stand still too long, then that would eliminate your camping problems altogether.

Or you could use a mod that takes the scope off the sniper rifle, then they'd have to get out and fight a little more head to head instead of hiding...
