UT2004 demo released. Check it out...i think it's great even though it isn't much of a demo.

yeh it rulez cant wait to get my hands on the final version, im not going to be able to put this game down for along time
Isn't much of a demo?? It's got slightly more content than most demos. And it rules. AS is simply brilliant, not to mention the manta.
Well it's an awesome demo none-the-less. i was just hoping for maybe 2 DM maps and maybe another character that wasn't a human, little extra stuff like that.. But it's only a demo and the game comes out in less than a month..so i guess i can wait.
DM's not a new feature. There were two DM maps in the UT2003 demo, a game in which the only new gametype was Bombing Run. Some think *one* DM map is pushing things for the UT04 demo; if you want free Unreal DM you should go for the UT2003 demo. Two Onslaught or Assault maps wouldn't be uncalled for, but the full game only comes with about six of each. As for the player models, there's only about five new teams, so including one in the demo seems perfectly fair. And at least they're good-looking, remember UT2003's demo came with the Juggs...
lolol, i remember.
Ut2003's Dm wasn't that hott due to map design though. I've only really played 5 selected maps in Ut2003 sinced i picked it up from pre-order over a year ago. And i thought Ut2004 came with 100+ maps? So why only 6 for Onslaught and 6 for Assault?
True, UT2003's map design was one of its biggest flaws. The maps that were included in the demo, however, were some of the best in the game (Anubis is certainly miles better than Colossus, and imo Citadel and that rusty map are very slightly better than BridgeOfFate and Rankin), so I stand by what I said before that DM lovers should pick up the UT2003 demo. It is a bit of a shame that there aren't so many AS or ONS maps... hopefully they've got a few half-finished ones they'll bung into bonus packs...
got this game a couple of days ago 1 of the best multiplayer games ive ever played
