Well... I'm an ESR kind of guy myself, so accuracy is the only chance you have, kill or be killed... That being said, I can't really offer much advice as far as HOW to play, because you already know, it's sharpening your skills that'll get you into the game...
But here's a few tips I'll throw out:
Lower your mouse speed. A lot of people seem to think that higher mouse speed is better because you can turn faster, you can aim faster, and therefor you'll have a better chance of shooting something. This isn't a very accurate assumtion.
There are exceptions to every rule, but when it comes to sheer accuracy, mouse speed is a huge factor, and the slower the mouse the steady, and ultimately more accurate, the shot.
My second tip is to relax, and don't focus on any specific targets. Again, this is coming from my point of view as a regular Instagib player. Sometimes when I play I sort of blank out and I'll start killing everyone in site in short vollies, usually in groups of 3~4+. It's when I focus on an individual player that I often find myself struggling to hit him.
Third piece of advice, watch the caffeine... Caffeine isn't always a good thing when you're playing, unless you're tired maybe. I find it makes me irritable, sometimes givese headaches, and almost always makes my hand twitchy or sometimes even less responsive. It's only when I relax and sort of let my vision drift that I start nailing everything that moves.
Fourth piece of advice... Learn the map layouts, know your way around, make sure you dodge to get around. Doing a standard jump is an instant easy kill for me because people don't realize just how easily they can be picked off when floating at an easily calculatable height (For those of you who didn't understand what I meant, see QuakeIII Arena, heh).
And last but, but not least, practice often. But only practice when you WANT to play, don't push yourself to play. I found that pushing myself to play when I didn't really felt like it resulted in me doing really shitty... On top of that, it pissed me off to the point where I didn't want to play for a long time afterwords, which only made me rusty... So have fun with the game, it's not a chore or a job, have fun, being a good player will come then.
Anyway, hope this helps some, and have fun, damnit!
Good there is maybe a gg for me.....Wanna play boY? :smack:
manslauterut 2003 is a hard game online
its depend of the map... and mutator...somme player feel better whit instant gib ! like me! and somme other prefer 150 game speed
VertigoOr give up and switch to Unreal 2 XMP :P.

DO what I do suck Good(NOW NOW POTTY MINDS GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE GUTTER) If you are going to suck make it good like running up on the dude with you flag and launching a deemer or launching nades at random. Or just have fun sucking BECAUSE in the end its just a game.
All I can say is practice, practice and practice more!
However I do get quite frustrated when playing. There are a lot of cheats playing online and nothing you or I can do about it. I would not consider myself a great player but I can hold my own in a death match game providing no body is cheating. Just the other day I was playing and I had the flak cannon fully loaded; I had 199 health, 150 shield and 100 adrenalin of which I utilized in berserk mode. I was in a team deathmatch game and came up behind an opponent as they were having a battle with one of my team mates. With a blast of the flak cannon up close in the back of the head you would think that I would have obliterated my adversary...but no. This player seemed to be pushed backwards whereby he spun and shot me with the midi gun and I died straight away!
Well what more can I say because as far as I am concerned that is impossible unless the player in question has messed about with the scripting of the game. In my opinion something should be done to stop these computer programmer cheats from incorporating health bots, aim bots, shield bots etc. to enhance their game. There is no chance whatsoever that honest players like you and I can compete against these cheats; if the administrators stop them playing then there would be more servers for us to play on and it would give us a better chance to improve our own game. Also you know when you are chasing somebody and they seem to jump, turn, charge 3 rockets and let you have them all at the same time! You think to yourself...but I had the upper hand...and besides how do they do that? Have they got twenty fingers? No they have probably messed about with the settings and assigned all those actions to one key! You are trying your hardest with your fingers splyed across the keyboard and they multi task with the press of one key. Grrrrrrrrrrr! Very annoying!
Jack off to get your hand stick and then grab ur mouse, so it dont slip n slide ;)
Ru$hJack off to get your hand stick and then grab ur mouse, so it dont slip n slide ;)
U aint a computer programmer are u? Cos they seem to do a lot of that, (jacking off that is ). I know I work with them! However I am not one of the elite as they call themselves, just 4th line support.
I don't know why but if you spend a whole week playing against godlike bots then you will start to gain some skills. online people are way more difficult than normal people. If someone frags you online then think of that person sitting on a toilet playing ut 24/7 and thank god that you have a life
Try the superbots mutater. It makes the bots a lot harder. Config them so their skills are above 70-90.
