Hi,

As soon as I saw 1.5 was released I downloaded it and went on-line (there were a couple of servers already and some players too) Everthing looks great and I like the new weapons and the new texturing in some maps.

But when I play a seem to have a big "cage" arround me all the time.... I'll upload a screenshot later.

Second one is: I seem to lag like hell on "bank" map (el drap bank raid???), my connection is good (ping 20) my fps goes for 126 constant. It's new to me too lag at only one map....

Hope you guys have some answers.

PS : Not flaming you guys !!! you did a great job again !!

the "box" effect is a side effect of ATI drivers.. nothing we can do sorry town lagging.. try reducing your texture detail settings in the system menu, Town has very high detail textures, and if you havn't got a real good GFX card, you will have to reduce your settings :) Hewster

mm so you have nvidia card, and you can see a box !! your are the first nvidia owner to have go this problem, what drivers are you using? and yes, if you are running at hi-res with full detail, your system is not good enough.. for reference I have: AMD XP2500 GF2 Uktra 64mb 1Gb ram I run at 1024 x 768 with high texture detail, and average 70 fps in town. WildWest increases the requirements for running at hi-detail compared to vanilla wolf (now over 2 yers old) I wanted players with newer machines to make use of their high power PC's :) Older machines cannot expect to run WildWest at hi-res & maximum detail. We have a tester who runs a PIII450mhz with a TNT1 GFX, he can still play all maps, but sets his graphics to minimum :) Hewster

I am using this driver :

Nvidia Omega Drivers for Win2k/XP v1.4523a

I am using this one due to the fact since the latest punk-buster update for ET (enemy territory) punkbuster seems to kick for the latest Nvidia driver.... With this driver I no longer have that problem.

Check this homepage for more info:

Guess I have to put my details a bit lower then :( Damn it was all looking soooooo good !

Me again,

The lagging part is over, it was a memory setting that was to high, I've put it back and things are running fine now even with high details.

Don't seem to be able to convert the tga screenshot into something that you can view

So no picture uploading yet.

thnx for your hrlp so far
