Well, it's okay for me that the dead zombies' corpses stay there, but when I slay an Imp or a Beast(a.k.a. "pinky"), they just hit the ground and de-materialize.

Is there an in-game option that disables that? Or is the Ungibbable mod my only choice?

Spoiler: Show
By the way, I just got through the part where you confront the first Beast. He does quite some damage to that door, eh? That scared me. If he did THAT to the door, I can't even imagine what he would do to ME. Heh. Glad he didn't get any close to me.

MBO, the reason I believe that the demons dematerialize once they are deceased is because they are transfering back to Hell from which they came. Once you reach Hell, I believe that such will not be the case.

Hm, good point.

Anyhow, why does a shotgun blast make a zombie turn into blood pulp? Bah.

I tried that co-op mod. It's really sucky. I'll just stick around and wait for more elaborate mods to be made. Gore and "no-gibbing" included.

Some people complained about the lack of gore...I say it's fine...the only tweak that would make it much better would be dismemberment.

Oh well...I'll just keep zapping the hellspawn, then.

Well, in real life it doesn't make that effect. It would tear somebody's arm, leg or head off, but not blow the body to pieces.

Agreed, I have little or no intention of ever playing Doom 3's new co-op mode.

And that is the same thing that I would adjust in the gore system: it is quite alright, although I would prefer the ability to dismember bodies as I shoot at them.

Well, I'm a co-op freak...I still play co-op Doom 1, 2, Heretic and Hexen through ZDoom with my friends. It's really cool. I guess there will be a good co-op mod soon for Doom 3. Then I won't be the only target for the Imps to throw fireballs at. =P
