If you have not gotten to Alpha Labs section 4 then read no further. If you have, then please wrap details of the different choices in spoiler tags.

Spoiler: Show
The Enpro Fuel Processor had a terminal which provided two options. One was to activate the EFR system, and the other was to extend the Service Bridge. Which choice did you make, and why did you make it?

Activating EFR system:

Spoiler: Show
The first time through on Veteran I initially selected to extend the bridge. The grunts which appeared convinced me to activate the EFR system. I was also drawn to try the EFR system cause it sounded like a place that had moving machinery traps and such, which I felt were missing at that point. In Doom1 and Doom2 there was plenty of ceilings falling, walls crushing, etc. that made it interesting. I really think more machinery traps could have been included so that player skills for jumping, ducking on the run, etc. would come into play. I also missed the ol' jump onto several boxes to find the secret area stuff...I think it was too easy skillwise to find extra armor and ammo.

Extending the bridge:

Spoiler: Show
On the second time through I selected to extend the bridge. I really enjoyed the way id set it up so that you could see some of the machinery that had to be manuevered through if the EFR system was activated. I think both choices were full of fun, though the maintenance walkways seemed to have more enemies.

I do not remember which action I took, but what I do remember was that Sargent Kelly informed me of which option was the safer route (as opposed to the other, which was also a more direct route to my destination). If you can recall which was a safer option, please enighten me.

Lowering the bridge is the safer route...

Spoiler: Show
it allows access to the maintenance walkways which can also be seen if you activate the EFR system and go for a ride. However, there are dangers in both choices from Zsecs.

I tried both, but liked it more when I didn't use the bridge.

Yes...., its like a platform with a bridge, rotating in the middle..... but the jump from the platform to the door is too far, a fall down everytime....
