I was disappointed noticing that I never had a chance to get lost in any corridors in this game. I had an over all feeling of just walking straight through the level. At a locked door, just backtrack a room or two and get the PDA...next room. I remember in Doom and II, levels where I would almost destroy my computer because I couldn't find a key or I was lost.

You made it almost sound like a bad thing until...

BabyTheifI would almost destroy my computer because I couldn't find a key or I was lost.

Wouldn't having to not destroy your computer and play the game be a better thing? Or am I missing something here? I don't think they would design advanced Mars laboratories like mazes. At least not in this decade.

If they made it a mindless maze, people would shun it for that.

Understandable, I think they focused to much on the enemy interaction and not the puzzles though.

Well, the Mars UAC Complex wouldn't be made like a maze for the scientists THEMSELVES not to get lost.

And I didn't get lost at any time in Doom I or II. I think you get confused easily. Or you just don't use the automap.

Isn't that why they had sentry's though? To guide them quickly through the facility and to protect them?
