For those of you have played alot of the Multiplayer for doom 3 what would you like to see added/removed and improved in the Multiplayer. Im just doing a bit of market research for a mod i have lined up. Any suggestions would be very helpfull. Thanks

I think the topic should of been named "Doom III MP Survey" or something of that sort to make sure it wouldn't be merged with another thread when you are trying to to do a survey. ::::::::::: On Topic: Altho there are alot of "little" modifcations of alot of things. I think the ultimate package would include all of the following. 1. Increased movement and firing speeds (say, 20-30 percent for movement) 2. Upgraded Shotgun Sound 3. Weapon|Flashlight attachment (with the ability to have just flashlight as well) 4. Increased chaingun ammo capacity, increased ROF, lowered damage. (to even it out) 5. Modified Plasma gun to work as a "rail" gun. (as the current plasma rifle is horrid fps) 6. Lowered Hand-Grenade gravity (to throw farther), and lower the "bouncy" effect. 7. Lowered self splash damage (for rocket jumps, which currently eat away 10hp or more per blast.. not including the possible 15-20 you lose from falling) 8. Addition of wall jumps (possible before SDK?), nothing spectacular.. just evasive. 9. Inclusion of the BFG :::: More to come:::::: + Unique or classic powerups to replace current. (lame, with the exception of invisibility) - Invulnerability Powerup - Unlimited Ammo Powerup (no reload) + Unique Fun Idea: Skimboard - Has it's own bind. - Used to *slide* down ramps and stairs faster, or any inclines (aka theEdge2) (no joke... would be a nifty feature and give "skilled" players somethign else to work with)

Additional Powerup: + Kamikazie Powerup (X amount of seconds before you explode, ahniallating anyone in the radius)

9. Cooperative Gameplay, 2-4 players. (altho this is more of an actual MOD project.. seeing how you would need to optimize every map, and other tweaks to make it run smoothly and properly)

10. Custom |Mirror|Maze| Level (would just be another fun addition)

11. VoiceCommands available to bind via controls. (commands are as follows) "clientVoiceChatTeam voc_roger" "clientVoiceChatTeam voc_negative" "clientVoiceChatTeam voc_prepare_for_attack" "clientVoiceChatTeam voc_movein" "clientVoiceChatTeam voc_enemy_spotted" (not 100percent certain if they work, haven't tested.. but the commands are there)

i'm sorry, but a kamikazie powerup just doesn't sound like a very good one.

I think it does. (perhaps tweaked to where u run into a player). It's more of a classic powerup. But definately something i personally like. It would work nicely for both sides. The player with the powerup would be running around (at a higher speed of course), perhaps with the screaming sound. Other players would freak out "OHH SH!!!T!!", having one player chase another. Or having players pull off crazy rocket jump evasion manuervers.

I can also imagine the kamikazie player rocket-push jumping in front of a player, (like when he's trying to run away.. u rocket jump over him and run into him).

Basically the powerup would have a time limit before you explode. But you can also detonate by running into players.

i think the kamikazi sounds great, i could allready picture somebody running at you and there glowing red(pulsating)

;) or perhaps make use of that pretty fire and have that be the powerups visual representation on the player

I personally don't like the "roll" idea. Don't want the game to get too much like those lame FPSers.

But a walljump > roll

Besides, with a roll it totally eliminates the use of side-jumping rocket shots :) Which are keepers!
