its the parents fault they let their stupid kid(s) play violent games its not the game devs fault that some 17 year old child went psycho after he played a M rated game

To be quite honest, I care little or not at all if these kids end up having a warped mind because of playing games such as Doom 3 (that's what these games are for :naughty: ). But if they resort to go murdering others because of their impressions, that is their own fault. Leave the game around for others to enjoy (and if such keeps happening, what a pity :vikki: ).

Really, if the parents let there kids play games like manhunt ALL day, its their fault. games are not as bad as movies imo because in movies it looks real, in games its just graphics.

Parents need to get real and stop blaming games, the kid who played manhunt a lot was also on drugs and prolly had a mental problem but the parents never knew this:uhoh:

Police reject game link to murder...

"We have been very concerned recently about the misleading and disingenuous reporting about the effects of playing interactive games software," said Elspa.

"As you will know, despite many research projects into the effects of screen violence, some of which have been undertaken by eminent academics in their field, no link with violent behaviour has been found."

Majic_MushroomWell I have found numerous Satanic themes in Doom 3 (such as a tiny room I came to where there was a glowing seal on the floor surrounded by 3 candles), but that is what makes it great!

Sad thing is that most of the seals I have seen don't have anything to do with satan. Also since when are candles satanic? I mean my mom lights lots of candles around the house does that mean shes the devil? no...

Well, candles are supposed to be very ritualistic, and in combination with such symbols as seen in the game suggest a strong association with Satan (whatever that means lol  ).

They LOOK like they are satanic but to teh people that know what the mean theyhave nothing to do with it. Really its more like Wicca signs and they aren't devil worship. Their God and Goddess worship. The church just made rumors and Holywood didn't help.
