There is a thread here on 'What do you want to see in Doom3',well, what new effects are possible on new hardware??? Such as the Radeon9700,NV30 ??? If a developer wanted to push these cards to their limit, not picture quality necessarily, but features.Like for instance, the Radeon9700 has a demo of a bear with REAL looking fur and hair. And Nvidia had their werewolf. These kind of 'Features' that are not in current games, but would like to see available in Doom3. What does ID think?? What can be put into this game that COULDNT be done on previous hardware ?? Im sure there has to be alot of awesome stuff we are missing, until a developer apply's it into their software ??? What should we be seeing ???

In terms of a "realistic environment" I think DooM3 will leave no spots open: We had a joke at another community where I post at that id probably will even program an Operating System to the UAC-Computers that You can use.

I believe it's not "only" the grafix but the surrounding of the game itself.

Let's face it: DooM is where id is best at. They practically invented that sort of thing and they have no competition in that area.

Agreed, Diego.

What do I want by the time the game comes out? I'll tell you:

  • 2 GHZ prcessor
  • At least 512 megs of RAM
  • 60 GB hard drive at least
  • GeForce3 Ultra or better video card (pardon my slight ignorance)
  • 5.1 surround-sound system
  • Flat monitor, and I don't care HOW many body parts I have to give up

I guess I'd better get hustling and start saving my money.
