why dont people share their ideas for awesome mods so people that can actually make mods make them!!! why doesnt sum1 make a gauge for berserk??? so they can kill monsters with it and turn it off when they want 2? i am a really in experiensed modder right now im not really good at modding as i just edit game text files Eg. changing amount of shots in shotgun and changing damage and size of decal. but ive always wanted to make as guage 4 berserk so say you could use it every now and then 2 beat down annoying zombies without wasting >time< and >ammo

I’m currently tinkering with an idea of a Doom3 that emphasizes on quantity of enemies as opposed to quality of enemies. With a couple months of free time ahead of me, and an intense feeling of disappointment with doom3’s presentation, I thought why not get into moding it. Has any kind of increased enemies mod been done? Is it even plausible with stock maps? I’ve had many successful attempts at altering the game in various areas but I’ve yet to delve into the map editor. I don’t expect it to be easy, but I’d like to know if this type of idea has been tossed around or successfully done.

that would be a good idea because ove also thought that doom 3 is focused more on quality and spine chilling then number of enemies its a good game but there arent enough good firefights in it. great idea

I disagree with sedistix. I think a mod that reallly

increased the monsters aglity and intelligence would bring

a new flavor that would really scare the player. give that

person a reason for replaying the game.

Sounds good also. Playing the game with an enhanced AI would be nice. That’s not to say more enemies couldn’t add to the fun either. The reduced quality I mentioned earlier was more about character quality. Like textures, models, and various details concerning the actual entities. Reducing their ‘cost’ on hardware would allow more of them on screen at one time with out a large performance drop. I'm all for smarted quicker enemies. I more or less miss the old days of dooming, where you could find yourself in some court yard mowing down large droves of enemies.

how about changing the weapons models. I seen the 5.56 Full metal jacket multiplayer mod and that would be a great mod for singleplayer. Doom the movie had this cool looking assault rifle that The Rock (Duane Johnson) used i think it was an HK g36. I want to see some modern Counter-strike weapons in Doom singleplayer man that would be freaken awesome.
