Do you honestly know how old this is?!This is still a big thing in the voodoo world, and it's still pretty big and really impressive. It's just textures that are shaped down. Plus, if it weren't for Voodoo and 3dfx there would be no SLI in the Geforce models.

Nope.Even if you use the voodoo textures, theese textures are Glide based.Meaning, if you don't have a voodoo card, you can't play it like this.

Because it HAS to be a glide based card. The only ones were the voodoo series.

I'm going to have to kill the guy that sold me this DM3DII card, saying it was a Glide card...

He told me it was a Diamond branded 12mb Voodoo 2!

He even said he had Voodoo 2 drivers for Windows XP, I bet that was a lie too?

I guess it is a good thing I have not bought Doom3, as I don't think it will run on my Geforce 4...

That's where you're wrong.

A model of the Voodoo 2 came out mainly made for arcade systems, and developers. The voodoo 2 dual GPU configuration. A cable was needed to connect two Voodoo 2s together.3Dfx has never found a way to hold 2 gpus on one board yet. So more of an addon card was made that could be used as a regular display, but PCI. Both SLI cards were PCI. It was the Voodoo 2 24 mb SLI.If you don't beleive me, look around on google or somewhere for the Voodoo 2 patch for Doom 3, or check www.3dfxzone.it

If it has the Voodoo 2 GPU onboard, it's glide. The Voodoo GPUs are glide based, not the actual graphics board itself. If I led you to beleive that, my mistake.

I was just joking...

I think my last post was a little bit harsh...

"He even said he had Voodoo 2 drivers for Windows XP, I bet that was a lie too?"

Ouch. I'll blame it on my fever, even though it is only 100.4...

Yeah, the Diamond Monster 3D II actually has a Voodoo 2 Glide GPU. I can't tell if it is one GPU or three though. There are three 3DFX chips on the card.

If I remember, the later Voodoo 4 cards, and the voodoo 5 models have more than one GPU on them. That's why the Voodoo 5 6000 was so huge!
