Actually... The Voodoo 2 Ownz your Mx440. (Unless it is a 128mb card.)

Mx440s suck. I know, I have one. I've been able to benchmark this thing, comparing the performance between the two.

NFS:III, Elite Force,... Whenever the 3DFX card works, it often works a little bit better. When the Voodoo isn't up to the task, is when 32-bit graphics are required, or Transform & Lighting. When you get into a Hardware T&L game, you better get something better than an Mx440.

Pretty much, yeah. The voodoos were more stable than the ATI, and Nvidia cards when it was rival to them. And still is, seeing there are so many patches for games where half of them still look the same, and some made just to get games to play on them. They've used the resources that the Voodoos have, that Matrox, Intel, ATI, or Nvidia don't have.Nvidia takes credit for what 3dfx did!

Doom 3 would be able to run on an MX2, but there would have to be enough CPU power, ram, Ram speed to support it.

yea it did it had 448 Mb of ram a Celreon D But I thought the min was a Geforce 3 and GF 3s could use pixel programme shadar sumthing the GF 2 could not do And Doom 3 uses it alot. It looked alright on a GF 2 it just dint have any shadows or cool bump mapping.

I was running two of the voodoo 2 64's in sli on a dual p3 1 ghz back in the day and was getting 999 fps in quake 1 and was getting in the 300s on quake 2 Back then it was the shit and It was the first time you had SLI. The fact that nvidia has brought it back and that you have the ability to hook FOUR of them together now is INSANE! -Demon

well now SLi is pointless unless your going for 2048x1546 in games like Oblvion.
