could anyone tell me how i could change the maximum stock ammunition per weapon before reloading ? as you all know, the chaingun only carries 60 rounds before you have to change out barrels. that and the fact that the rocket launcher only carries 5 rockets per mag.i want to raise the rounds from 60 to 80 for the chaingun, and also change the stock rocket ammunition mag of 5 to 8 but how not sure how to do so. :uhm: thanks in advance for help.

You can change the clip size for any weapon by editing the weapon_x.def-files found in pak000.pk4. Use ie. WinRAR to open up the pak000.pk4 and extract the definition files (located in the def-folder) to where you want.

Open up the .def files with notepad or any text editor. To change the clip size just edit the line where it says "clipSize" "#" to any number you want. You can do this:

// "clipSize" "64" <- Old clip size, add those // in the beginning to rule it out "clipSize" "80" <- New clip size

After editing you can add those definitions back to the pak000.pk4, but it's not recommended. Get a new, empty .pk4-file (download a mod? or make a zip file and then rename it to .pk4? your choice..) and add the edited definitions to it into a folder called def. Then rename the new .pk4-file to pak005.pk4 and place it to ..\Doom 3\base\ -directory.

New clip sizes will be enabled when you restart a level or advance to another level.

Hope this helped

Hey thank you!

I did just as you had suggested and both stock ammo alterations for chaingun and rocket launcher work perfectl.had a bit of trouble at first extracting the definative files but that was figured out eventually. :lookaround:
