Hi, Can anyone tell me how i adjust the ragdoll effects in the game. I have already un zipped all the 'pak' files and can edit most files with notepad etc but can't find the ragdoll adjustment. In particular i want to increase the throwback effect of certain weapons like the shotgun. I have tried adjusting the 'knockback' variable in the weapons section under shotgun but the effect is not very noticeable. Appreciate any help or advice.

hey, your almost there. go back to C:\Program Files\Doom 3\base\def and choose the shotgun or whatever weapon you want to mod. editing the mass or velocity of the bullets to higher values will cause the enemies to sail when you fire into them. also, use find to locate all of the instances of "gib" and set them to 0 if you dont want zombies to ever dissapear. hope that helps

I've did a lot of this by creating new weapons for Tweakedoom Trilogy : You should modify those Parameters (You should know that some of them are not present in some weapons like Shotgun) (PAY ATTENTION BY MODIFING THOSE PARAMETERS BECAUSE SOME ARE NOT REFFERING TO WEAPONS BUT TO THE WEAPON SHELL [Shotgun, Machinegun]) Mass Push Velocity Knockback is the force attributed to the player backpedal (If you set a High Knockback, the player will reverse a bit or more if set it higher). I hope you've undertsood my english, it's horrible

how do you unzip a pak file?

To unzip a pak file you simply use winzip to open the .pk4 file of your choice. I use winrar, and I know that works, so that's what I'd recommend. Last version of winzip I used didn't keep file hierarchies intact, but winrar does, so there you go.

yeah im trying to adjust the kickback for the zombies as well. i know,, i know,,, you said its mass, push, and velocity. I can find mass in the shotgun.def file, but i cant find push, and how to increase these numbers for velocity???? -"velocity" "60 30 10" // how fast the projectile leaves the gun (or distance if fuse is 0) and pistol is -"velocity" "7200 0 0" // .38 Special 600 fps. It is so satisfying to see a fat ugly ass zombie fly/summersault backwards because i ripped him a new one in his head. Im trying to make a resurrect zombie mod, with high rate, high velocity punch guns, which includes everything. i know its kinda cheap, but its so satisfying. *sniff
